Very nice to see Barnes named and I'm happy that both Hinkle and Mewis are still there - And because I doubt either will go to the Olympics, I think it bodes well for the 2016 Flash. BTW, I'm headed to Nashville; Is anyone else going to be there?
I'm going as well. If anyone wants to meet up and say Hi I'm all for it. I'll also be in Boca Raton as well.
Well this doesnt mean much but the argument can be made that in the Olympics it might be nice to look down the bench and see a couple players who have been in a major tournament before.
Yaaaaaaaaah Buddy, Tampa also. Conflict with Boca (dang family obligations). I wish US Soccer would send out like "save the date announcements" a long time in advance cuz I'm going to miss the game(s) in early April........D*MN IT.
I had the same question earlier in the thread. She wasn't on the WWC roster and according to BlueCrimson:
I cannot recall seeing her on a German roster in 2 years, but I don't follow enough to know her story.
Unfortunately Ellis putting her on the roster doesn't mean she'll play. If she even gets as many minutes in this tournament as she got in the World Cup I'll be pleasantly surprised.
As I recall she had knee surgery but it wasnt successful and it had to be done again. Have also seen rumors that she might retire.
Not wanting to throw Ohai into the frying pan of Sheeba Leaves would be a lame excuse to deny someone a chance to experience NT practice regimens. If Ellis has taught us anything, it's that she puts a whole lot of value in the practices of the USWNT. I would be very surprised, for the same reasons you've given for Ohai not getting called in, if Barnes actually gets time in a game. Only calling in 22 players when 23 are allowed seems like a lost & wasted opportunity. I've long ago resigned myself as an Ohai fan that she won't get a look until after the Olympics, but this seemed like the perfect opportunity to, at the very least, get her into a few practices. Even if it's not Kealia, I can think of a half-dozen players you can call in for no other reason than to let her run the drills with the team. Groom, Yanez, Huerta, Doniak, C.Williams, Buzcowski, Kallman, Pathman, Gilliland to name a few potential first campers.
I don't expect to see Germanty winning this cause their missing to many key players in the likes of Bundesliga mvp, Leupolz as well as Laudehr & Bremer not showing up. But here's a glimpse of their new lone fwd, Mandy Islacker, ofen referred to as the Ice Queen do to her striking, blond looks(she could definitely get a part in the flick, the Huntsman!)
We have 2 threads going, for this tournament, can a mod merge them? The other one is labeled, "#SheBelieves Cup 2016"
Different forums. One's in USA Women: N&A, the other is in Women's International. And never shall the twain agree
