Take the lesson learned from fabian Johnson. Get parker at his lowest point. If he shoots back up again, it will be a coup.
According to this Kicker article Parker has been out with a knee injury since the Dortmund match. They are targeting a return in the coming weeks ahead: http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...14849/artikel_laengere-pause-fuer-parker.html
Thanks for posting this. Basically says he has had a nagging knee injury that hasn't allowed him to practice fully with the team and has gotten worse recently. Now, they are going to shut him down for 2-3 weeks and will bring him back when he is 100% fit. If it doesn't get better, however, an operation might be necessary.
I'm not sure if he's still injured, but he hasn't played at all for the first team since August. This article speculates he may go on loan to the 2. Bundeslgia with FC Erzgebirge Aue being the candidate.
He played about 20 minutes in a 3-2 loss at Bremen. http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...elanalyse_werder-bremen-4_fc-augsburg-91.html It's his first game time for the first team since late August (2nd game of the season).
Parker came on in the 86th minute in what ended as a 2-2 tie with Bayer Leverkusen. http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...ericht_fc-augsburg-91_bayer-leverkusen-9.html
He apparently had the secondary assist on the equalizer; his cross was touched to the Augsburg goalkeeper, who had come up on the last play of the game and scored it.
Highlight of the final goal. Decent cross but a crazy play in general. http://rutube.ru/play/embed/7528377
It was a bounce off Simon Rolfes ... but a nice high karate kick from the 6'4" GK. Augsburg, one of the surprise teams in the tournament - and in a good way, Klopp - is in 5th place with 35 pts.
Came on in the 68Th today against Brooks and Hertha. Looks like he is become more of a regular coming off the bench.
Parker came on in the 78th minute against his old club Mainz, and nearly scored. Been a long road back for this kid.
DNP vs. Freiburg, a 2:0 loss. Augsburg is still in respectable sixth. Parker has appeared in six matches so far, with a 4.25 Kicker rating (given for two early season matches, 3.5 and 5.0). He just turned 22 on the 7th. A recent article. http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...er-vergibt-die-chance-im-doppelten-sinne.html
