Las Palmas are last in the league. Shaq started as RB in a 4-5-1. He's #26. He just got down to the endline and put in a cross, cleared for a corner. I think it was him.
Commentators just talked about how Shaq has filled in at RB and this is his 2nd start after the Copa del Rey game. Not much else I could gather.
first viewing. he's big and fastened comfortable on the ball. could be the opponent. and apparently intimidating. break and his man wanted no part of taking him on.
Doesn't seem to be the fastest decision-maker with the ball, but it might be how Levante is playing. Las Palmas is giving them a lot of time, so it doesn't matter.
one waved back for off sides. very tight. our boy not involved. subsequently in solved in a break and taken down.
4 on 4 break. our guy with a key intervention. terror has passed. not too familiar with the league, but has all the look of a mid table struggle. Shaq not out of his depth and bringing both bite on D and skill on offense. I am off to the pub.
First time in a long time a potential USMNT player has gone '90 in La Liga. Big win for Levante UD.... 3 points against a fellow regulation battler. Cool to see.
He is ok for the level of his team. He is strong. Average speed. Technical skill is about the same. He is not going to beat out Yedlin and I don't think he has enough tools in his bag of tricks to be a right winger.
Yes, it's great to see an American going 90 in La Liga. Altidore got a start (only one, I think) for Villareal back in 2008. And Giuseppe Rossi played a bunch for Villareal, but he doesn't really count. Are Rossi and Altidore the only other American field players (Keller played a couple years for Rayo Vallecano) to get a start in a match in La Liga?
