Referees won't let em. LFV has this league wrapped around his fingers. Fejsa and Jardel should have both received yellow cards, but that would mean they miss the Porto game. So ref kept the cards in the pocket. Then comes the Salvio dive at the end of the game

Because the Media will milk this drama until the very end and ignore how much of a ********ing disgrace this league and Benfica is. But don't you see the bigger picture here? If anything, today, much like Benfica's game against Rio Ave and countless other games, proves one thing: Portugal will not let anyone outside of Benfica win. Period. Sporting can have an all-star squad with Ronaldo and Messi and the league will find a way to ensure Benfica wins. Period. Last week, Dost gets taken out with no play on the ball, they go to the VAR and deny the PK. This week, they don't even use the VAR for the Salvio dive. They manipulate the VAR in Benfica's favor. Conclusion: Regardless of this drama, Portugal will always ensure Benfica wins. ALWAYS. Doesn't matter how well SCP or FCP plays. Its been like this the last 5 years, before that we said the same thing about Porto. Remember that Porto only wants the power back, they're just as corrupt. In this country you only win with alliances and influence off the field and we've never had that. There has to be a fundamental change in the whole structure of the league. Who knows even refs from outside the country and an independent foreign disciplinary board. But it will never be fixed in Portugal because there's just something fundamentally wrong with Portugal.
