CONMEBOL has announced the referee for the game, none other than Richard Steel---- sorry, I meant Sandro Ricci. I though Sandro Ricci had been recalled and wasn't going to referee anymore games
Supposedly it was going to be an Ecuadorian ref originally but was suspiciously changed. This Brazilian ref was responsible for the Cavani red card. In two matches he has pulled 10 yellows, two reds, and 69 total fouls. Messi, Mascherano, and Aguerro will have to be extra careful.
I think that no matter who the ref is, we're going to be fine. I don't believe in conspiracies at this level. The only think that I worry is that (1) Messi won't get the protection that he deserves (i.e., making sure that blocking fouls are called correctly), and (2) Mascherano and Kun need to chill the f' out with arguing with refs. I don't like the disrespect that so many players are showing refs. It is a losing proposition for the players; has a player ever argued with a ref and won? I though that what happened to Cavani was absolutely disgusting, but once the ref made the call, Cavani should've known better. the trying to intimidate the ref is no bueno. All that said, I hope that the ref calls the blocking fouls and our players don't lose their tempers.
Well, no Argentinean player decided to become a part-time proctologist (b/c we know that's what chileans like to do. . . put fingers up peoples butt and then pretend that the opposing player hit him)
Jara did it so obviously we all like it. Not to say of course nothing happened to Jara since we bribed everyone
Stay classy chile you guys are the butt of all jokes! Get it? You're the "butt" b/c of what your players do-
