same problems as always can't move the ball forward, lose possession and early goals these have been the same problems USA has had since 2006

That's outstanding even for Messi's standards

Games like these are why many Americans don't really care about the USMNT.

I'd pull Wondo at the half (well, really, I'd have pulled him in the negative 3rd minute) for, well, anyone else. His first touch has been terrible.

    And Bradley's definitely off.

I really thing Argentina's doing us a kindness and not pressing nearly so hard as they could.

Bradley is aware that the blue team is Argentina, right?

    All time Argentina goal scorers

    1 Messi
    2 Batistuta
    3 Crespo
    4 Maradona
    5 Aguero
    6 Higuain

    3-6 are far behind 1-2

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argentina_national_football_team#Top_goalscorers

Batistuta still has by far the best record of goals per game, having played far less games than Messi.

Just a word for Batistuta here - he had a great record of 10 goals in 12 matches in world cups, and that was without even getting the chance to play much in the latter stages. He has a great shot against the post against Holland in 1998, which would have been his 6th goal of the tournament had it gone in, and probably would have won the match and won a semi final, and gone on to be leading scorer in the tournament with that.

The link above lists Batistuta with 56, however that includes 2 that are not recognized as having been in a full international. Hence why Messi was reported as being equal scorer when he got to 54.

Lavezzi should stop faking injury. That's putting it as nicely as I can.

That keeper deserved a card, there was no need for that arm, the play was dead already

I'm thinking that might be the best goal I've seen Messi score for Argentina, or at least in the actual finals of a competition.

There was a nice one at the last world cup with dribble and shot, but it needed a deflection to get it in.

Can't see Wondo get many more minutes in this one. Pulisic?

Argentina >>>> USA as far as skill

Argentina >>>>>>>>>>>USA as whining, crying, and rolling on the ground faking injuries.

Sad, pathetic side that deserves to keep losing at major tournaments because they play like sad little putas.

A lot of Americans expect dominance simply out of the fact that they're the US and they dominate most other things in the world thanks to their overwhelming economic advantage.

This is the main reason I root against them. To show that there are still a few things that money and power can't buy.

Why is he even on the 23 roster???? He must have blackmail on Klinsi. He is more worthless than an orange cone at midfield.

Why is it so difficult to teach American players to trap and pass the ball? Every time we play a top team their fundamentals make us look like a rec. team

In all seriousness, I know Guzan has been starting goalkeeper for a while.

However I felt Tim Howard should of started this particular game. He may not blocked the Messi FK, but the first goal more than likely.

And there it is, complete ignorance and open racism.

The US contributes more that EVERY other country combined to help whenever there is a humanitarian crisis in the world. MORE THAN EVERY OTHER COUNTRY COMBINED!!!

We share and help more in one day than your country has done in its history. Get the facts before you spew this racist/vile crap again.

If wondo isn't stapled to the bench JK is an idiot.

You have nagbe on the bench. This squad is dying for an injecting of skill and speed right now.
