Maximum respect this week for all my Betico friends during this derby week, the soccer match between cross-town rivals Sevilla Football Club and Betis Balompie. It's easy to understand why Beticos get so excited when they actually win against Sevilla. It just doesn't happen that often. Record to date: Sevilla 51 wins, Betis 36 wins, 28 draws. As far as overall performance:

I have read that all Beticos attending the match have been given special wet wipes so they can disinfect themselves once they leave the pig stye known as the Sanchez Pizjuan this Sunday. Er Glorioso is going for their second consecutive derby sevillano victory at the pocilga. A win would give Er Glorioso a 7 point lead over their cross town rivals. 1-2 para Er Glorioso!

    Ese Beti Oe!!

Obviously if Er Glorioso doesn't bag at least 3 points in the next three matches, Madrid@home, Depor on the road and Barca@home would imagine that some folks won't be around after January transfer window.

I must give kudos when due and the Palanganas were hungry for a win and it showed although those first two goals were give aways from Betis but they kept their foot on the accelerator and 4-0 score at HT was deserved. Definitely a sad spectacle for the Beticos who were in the stands and the Betis lists after the match were pretty ugly. At least after today we are still ahead of the Palanganas! Ese Beti Oe!!
