A brief review: Van Basten has had his strongest campaign in Serie A since his arrival to Italy. He now leads the race as top ranked player supplanting Jürgen Kohler. Roberto Baggio is going through the best spell as a Juventus player, but his lackluster first half to the season has him ranked outside the top 10. The German calvary of Brehme-Matthaus-Klinsmann, have all declined.
