Exactly. Maybe that word was fat-fingered and he accidentally put an "m" in front of "any".

It seems to me that ‘many’ pretty much always means none.

I still think that we are working on two maybe three more moves.
    • Eriksson has to go.
    • We need a new starting GK.
Those are obvious, there's no chance the "braintrust" doesn't see that. If we make those two moves, that will help our team. We should have snagged a GK in the re-entry draft. We could have gotten a decent (not great) GK from that list. We really only need one year, maybe two out of a GK, then JT can take over.

Ditching Eriksson allows us to sign another significant player, even if not a DP.

But we're not going to play with a #10 this season, so I expect us to suck once again.

    Go Quakes!!

Especially a goalkeeper! Looking back, they should have given Bingham what he wanted! Same goes for Morrow and Beita..

For his skill, Bingham was much better that Tarbell. For his attitude, they were glad to get rid of him.

Bings may have been too much of a head case to salvage, and our treatment of him sure didn't help.

Tarbell is likely irreparably damaged. I fear that we are crushing some of the young players too, like TT, Jackson, JT, and some of the others.

    I need whiskey.

The lack of a proven, professional GK is the one real, glaring omission from our roster at this point. Yeah, I’d really love the big-name/big-$$ DP, but that’s more to fill the stadium than win games. However, I am not confident that Tarbell is ever going to be as good as Cannon, Onstad, Busch, and though JT looks promising, I don’t know if he’s quite ready for the mantle at this point. I sure wish Jesse would come up with a known quantity at goal...

The "right movement" was intended to mean a few smart moves, not wholesale change, and that we don't need many, but do need a few good moves. I was going to go into what I thought I we need, and then I read this post by Mark.

This. Mark's list are our musts. I also agree that playing without a #10 makes it look like we are trying to just make the playoff, and then pray for the MLS Cup rather than be a team that will force it's style of play on others and win through consistency.

Wait a minute, Jesse said there would be no more signings!! Well, not "many," but we've definitively determined that means less than zero. What to believe anymore? :)

Jesse and Matias told us that...which seems odd but who cares if this is the big time DP we need?

Welcome Daniel Vega! We talked about needing a Goalkeeper. I don't like using an INT slot here, but hopefully having played in the US since 2016 will make it easier for him to arrange a green card. We are now one over our eight slots. Either Vega's paperwork is the plan, we'll see Erikkson, Qwiberg, or both go, or even better all of the above.

The sjearthquakes.com roster page is the only 2019 source and you're right it does not list him as an international. The 2019 MLS roster page only list player names, and don't even have the 2019 rules up yet. So, let's just take that note out.

Welcome Cade Cowell! I just moved a few positions around. I'm sure there will be some loans to Reno, but at this point we have 30 on the roster.

So is Galindo Junior signed or not? Is that just a rumor?

and what is up with Eriksson? still with the team? still in a DP slot? sure would be nice to get a straight answer on this. my guess, they keep him in that DP slot just to avoid the blowback from not getting a real DP after bringing home wooden spoon last year.

I think Eriksson's DP slot was for the transfer fee and should be over with. Joel Soria said they kept him away from the press at media day today. I would guess he might be out but not till the transfer window for the Swedish league opens. I would guess Galindo can travel with them just as a trialist so that shouldn't be any big deal.
