Diego Barreto, is a really good goalie he made bad career choices that made him waste 2 years + of his career, at 22 there was discussion to make him the starter over Justo Villar , I'm not saying he is at that level now, but we know where he can be if he gets his confidence back and Playing time too, as we stand now we don't have many goalies that can step into Villar's shoes , Joel Da silva is supposed to be our next big hope for a goalie, but this idiot shows up overweight for a major tournament, who does he think he is?? CHilavert? he is not even 20 and I don't really like him either jejee, I think it is good to call Barreto back for the friendly game against Peru, Hopefully this will make him work harder to get back to the NT.

    ------------------------------

Surprising but not so surprising... he was probably offered to la U, and since Markarian already knows him... done deal.

I think he is a great addition and will conform a nice duo with Emilio Hernandez (a player of similar characteristics).

That is not that much , he was making double that amount sitting in the bench of libertad, 12.5 millones de pesos is about 20k a month , acording to ABC at least, he was making 50k a month in libertad.

Possible starting squads for tonight's game,

Even missing a few stars like Roque, Haedo, and Justo we should still be able to win pretty easily but the keyword here is should, we all know how much they try in friendlies so it'll probably be a close game.

I'm looking forward to seeing a Cabanas and Pajaro partnership, wonder how that'l work out, and lets hope cagado Bobadilla doesn't screw up.

lol we actually won 2 friendlies in a row, sure it was against some pretty bad teams but we weren't even beating the bad teams in friendlies before and all the games have been away.

Cristian Riveros had a very nice goal today, I remember when he was called to the NT for the first time, everyone in PY was complaining about it, saying that he was only being called to the NT because Oracio cartes and all kinds of nasty stuff about him, He proved everyone wrong, he is becoming one of the top scorers for PY and he is not even a forward.

He's the best midfielder we got.

So far we have been unbeaten for 7 games, and only 1 loss in 12 games.

    Not bad.

Can some of you tell me what exactly is the age of the Paraguayian player Federico Santander? I saw him on the sub20 Sudamericano but some websites say he was born on the 4th of july 1989 and some say he was born on the 4th of july 1991. How old is he really?

I guess Almeida Did know something we didn't jajaja I'm glad, Olimpia beat Libertad, Figueroa and Ordoniez scored the 2 goals, Patito aquino scored for Libertad, It took the Guatemalan and Ecuadorean to bring back Libertad to planet earth , I guess they are not Chelsea after all.
