On the Chile-Iv.Cst. thread Jaime had posted a few links.
I am sure a few radios will carry it online, hopefully Cooperativa.

    Friendly 2006 CHILE - 07.10.2006

    Perú (PER) : Chile (CHI)
    Friendly 2006 PERU - 11.10.2006

    Austria (AUT) : Chile (CHI)
    Friendly 2006 VIENNA, AUSTRIA - 15.11.2006

    Destaco a P.Contreras y Valdivia.

El Pato has had many chances to prove himself to the national team but always seems to fall short..

I hope that Pinilla gets his stuff together, he was a very good prospect..
As for Navia and Gonzales.. el pelao wants an apology or he will not include them for the national team..

hope that this dude's recent success (mark's) hasnt gone to his head..

That is the same situation that Chamagol is in.
I don't think he has fallen short of chances, but he has not proven himself with the NT, the way he has in Mexico.
And yea, if Pinilla got his act together (wishful thinking), I think hypothetically he could be a possibility to become the answer to our problems. Currently, it's upto him, more than the club he plays for or whatever coach comes his way.

Not trying to excuse him, but Galaz seems to always get a chance when the odds are clearly against Chile. He's always there when the situation is difficult, and I'm sure it affects his performance somewhat negatively. I'd say that a player that plays in any national team should be able to come out of negative situations rather successfully, but I don't know if Galaz has that type of inner strength in him.

I've been disappointed with Sebastian Gonzales ever since that one game against Bolivia, in Santiago, when he could ended that Bolivian player's career after that criminal tackle. He's a capable player and is a proven finisher (and given our current situation in offense, we need all the experience we've got) but it seems his attitude needs to change a little. He either gets too excited in critical situations, or he likes to waste opportunity after opportunity.

There's something about our forwards that play in Mexico... it seems they are never able to tap their full potential there. To me, the Mexican league is still a player's graveyard.

I think if you have a player that takes his shorts off to celebrate a goal, and that also yells at the coach for taking him out during a game--@ Colombia (albeit by mistake), there is something wrong with the player's personality.
Just look at how many games he has played in for Inter (considering he belongs to them): not a lot, right? Consider how many teams he has been with since his move to Europe: Chievo, Celta, Sporting, Racing S.
His wife just left him I think, so if anything, things are gonna get worse before they get better for him.

this is a question or an affirmation?

I'm sure there are no rules about the age of players for C.América.

    News:

(Cooperativa.cl)

Finding forwards is what Acosta is doing along with finding other players in other positions so that Chile can get back in the WC scene.
I would like to see Chamagol and Galaz in one the friendlies also Sauzo and Pinilla, so many possibilities with lots of time to look for the right combo and the right attitude.

When the qualifliers start the seleccion needs to have the players setup (its good to see all these friendles) already instead of juggling players back and forth.

Oh, I agree with you 100%.
I think trying out a few things, and giving a number of guys the chance to play is great. I don't mind some tinkering, specially since there are just friendlies.
But he almost needs to keep the base of the team on the back of his mind, because if by any chance we lose a friendly 0-5 as a result of "tests", then we'll be in trouble. We're not exactly Paraguay psychologically, for that matter.
I, personally, hope Pinilla gets his act together, and soon, but they way things are looking....
