Its sad that I've come to expect guys like Fernadinho, Paulinho, Gil, and Fagner to be called up. I figured Diego Souza would be called up but Diego is a surprise.

No reason why youngsters like Rodrigo Caio, Luan, Fabinho, and Willian Jose aren't being given looks.

Fabinho plays defensive midfield these days so I can see the logic with not calling him. RB spot needs to be tested though. It needs new blood.

Diego, I don't know about this one.

Diego Souza is temporary so I'm not bothered by this one. I'm not bothered by Gil either. He is 4th choice the chances he plays are slim at best. I do think David Luiz deserves a recall though.

I'm starting to believe that Tite and @Mengão86 are related because Weverton continues to occupy a space on this national team.

Man, your appreciation for legends fades faster than CBF's patience with Micale. This man was a key reason why we won Olympic gold. You should be more grateful! Heck, even ask @MatthausSammer -- he still has nightmares of Weverton's PK saves.

I just realized Tite went to all of these European games and didn't select anyone he saw LOL.

When GJ got injured, Firmino became a shoe in.
Diego being called was a surprise to me.

This was an old predicted lineup!! There will be a couple of changes for the match vs Uruguay on the 23rd!! Hopefully we wont have to call up 2 forwards as Neymar and Firmino are injured!!

But at least D. Costa on great form with B. Munich!! Plus by some chance Neymar and Firmino don't make it, then the front 3 might be D. Costa, Coutinho, and Willian

Are both Neymar and Firmino out injured for the Uruguay and Paraguay games?

Neymar was reportedly "injured" for a game the day after his sister's birthday party. I'm sure he'll be fine in time for the game against Uruguay. Idk about Firmino's situation.

I'm surprised Barca aren't making a big deal out of this but he did save their CL campaign so it's probably ignored. One hell of a coincidence :whistling::D.

Who knows what kind of deal they have behind the scenes.

Read an article Messi was pissed. But that can be just made up. Barca had actually done well earlier in the season with Arda on the left in Neymar's place. But it was specially surprising since they now have a whole week to rest.

I was just wondering will any of the top world cup contenders want to win the confed cup and get jinxed in the process. ( considering the fact that no confed cup winners went on to win the world cup ).......

Seven Confederations Cups is nowhere near enough of a sample size to make any judgment that CC success or lack thereof is negatively correlated with World Cup success.
Meh. I'm not bummed that omajac cursed our CC run. The DFB have already made it very clear that the team we bring will be guys we want to just try out or experiment with, with a couple of regulars haven't gotten the same time due to injury (Reus). It'll be fun to see and participate in nonetheless.

I never brough into any curse with the confederation cup. Brazil managers mistake was using as their only criteria to build their team for the World Cup.

Isn't Germany sending a B squad to the tournament?

He's actually doing relatively well in France, but not enough to be in the picture.

He's up on my list as worst i've seen start for multiple big teams in Brazil. He fits the category of my felipe anderson rants on here a year back, glad that talk finally stopped.
