3 Days away !!! Can't believe it's here ! Fred gave an interview today saying the team is not 100% physically ready. Honestly I expected to see the team flying from the start. This has been the shortest prep time I think we've had including in 2002 where the competition had to start early to avoid monsoon season. So it looks like the team will have to improve not only tactically but physically throughout the competition. I just hope we get those 2 first wins out of the way ... de qualquer jeito.
I've seen now a couple reports about the water costing R$6 (padrao FIFA) ... that's actually "cheap", that water would cost here in the US (in a game / concert) around R$13.
It started today. It's weird. Up until last week, and even though I caught highlights of friendlies and have been reading up on World Cup news daily (Brazilian websites and others) for MONTHS, it's today that for some reason I feel that clima, that excitement. It is indeed unfortunate that Brazil's 3 group stage matches are on business days. I could take personal days off, but probably won't. I do look forward to June 28 - I will probably go to Newark or to a Brazilian venue in NYC to watch the oitavas-de-final match (which I am confident Brazil will win, no matter whom we face). I will also wear a jersey to work on Thursday.
All of the friendlies and preparations up till this point hasn't made me feel what I felt today either. I guess the ficha didn't fall yet until now.
I will be working from home for some if not all of brazil's matches. My company has reserved a meeting room and will also be broadcasting all the possible matches. Wish i could go in person and enjoy the atmosphere in Rio..
Heart is pounding non stop........all I think about. Can't walk 10 steps down the streets of Chicago, in any part of Chicago, without comments being yelled out at me. PRA FRENTE BRASIL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dani Alves elege imprensa como 'vilã' da seleção brasileira Claro que viu, Daniel. No seu lado do campo, tem uma avenida......
Leaving the 26th of June to Rio and will stay until day after the final to dance in the streets the entire night and following day. Will dance all the way to Aeroporto Galeao on the 14th. Had opportunity to buy opening match in SP, but asking price was $3,500.00. Do depressed I backed out.
Cousin of mine's sources in SP. So fuking depressed not going to one single match, but will be there which should be just as good. And hell, the WC may once again be in Brasil during my lifetime as I plan on living until 110. And the 17 Billion dollar profit FIFA is earning this WC (14 Billion more than any other WC), and as fuking greedy as FIFA is, they just might have the WC in Brasil sooner than we all think.
Damn, Brazil better win.. if not, @IVO ! will go from dancing in the streets to rioting in the streets
@ESPNagora: Empresário de Bernard diz em palestra que Felipão é horrível taticamente http://t.co/WKW0FlsDJi Why didn't you tell us you are Bernard's agent, @lawsonishere ?
By the way, isn't it annoying how on twitter some people, especially non-Brazilians, often overreact, like they did today? Some of those Neymar fans look like fans of Justin Bieber, etc...
Twitter is insane regardless but yea the overreactions were pretty annoying even regarding the Panama friendly.
The good and bad side of being famous. Mass attraction of the feeble minded, that choose to love or hate someone based on their popularity. Being a God on earth or the Devil itself just by existing, not by what you are or what you've done. Truth be told, neither side often offers good insight on their object of admiration, but that is to be expected since reason rarely follows blind devotion.
