Most other supporters' groups charge dues and have formal membership lists. I don't speak for the Elders, but I always assumed this was the plan once we got closer to first kick.

    That's actually funny.

No real problems with SoB or anything. Other than the few of them who go to the pub and yap all match about 24, Lost and The OC.

Correct. Before the fall, the team will know who is in the SOBs...

Well yeah, 4,000 people and you aren't going to see exactly face-to-face with everyone. So what's the problem then?

I know we've talked about our section being sort of "general admission" in a sense. I was wondering if that is still being kicked around. The only reason I ask is that for 1 or 2 games I'm sure my parents will want to use my tickets, and I figured they could just gravitate towards the back of the section if we do a GA-type thing.

I'm counting on a half season option as well. Like you said, most teams do it, so I think it's safe to assume the Union will do it also.

    stoked for next year!!!

Why don't you and Steelhead go in on tickets together? If you do it now you know you will have tickets, rather than being shut out if the team doesn't need to sell partial plans.

I have heard from sources that the team intends to do as many full seasons as possible before even considering partials. I would buddy up to avoid getting shut out.

Yea that probably is a good option, but at this point I'm still working on the wife to agree on ordering them. Because I'd rather not be the first guy divorced for the Union lol. Like others said, it won't be too hard to find someone to take the tickets off your hands for games we can't attend.

Ha. Up until yesterday, I was a little worried about it myself. I think I have a convert now tho. ;)

I am definitely opposed to turning the supporters section into GA!

    Why?

If we usually enter the section en mass then it will sort of just become GA. No reason to be pissed if we're not in the exact same spot every game as long as we're all still together....

I guess its not a big deal. It will certainly change the way I select my seats.

I was told GA is not happening, no way, no how. I think Bryan's exact words were, "Sara, you're annoyingly repetitive. Shut the F@#$ up!" ...or something like that. :D

Do you think they will really waste their time confirming every seat assignment in a supporters section?
I'm hoping our "all-as-one-for-club" atmosphere will keep a "hey! you're in my seat!" attitude from surfacing...

that's not the worry. it's being able to identify problem areas and move people around to either get the crowd into it more or to be able to spot potential troublemakers and neutralize them...and neutralize them...i mean stop them from causing more trouble.

(sorry, i heard rage earlier today)

It's also important for tifo effects. If there's a giant cluster of people gathered around the drum, the back of the section will always be empty.

And of course people will need to know where they're standing to know which card they should be holding...
