prolly wouldnt have played anyway but I knew he was hurt..

They can toil away in mid table for all i care and not play the kid at all. Bunch of morons. I watched every match until the last 2 just to see the kid. Got tired of them not playing him until they sured him up for more years. Not a way to endear yourself to the player.

FWI it's worth 96 lost again, still 3rd from bottom in GF with 6... They might hope Soto's sore throat clears up sooner rather than later...

Soto losing his voice is something only god can write...

An aguardiente with lime will sort him out. Throw in a couple of Guinness Extra Stouts for good measure.

He’s got a tonsil infection. Maybe a bit more severe than a run of the mill sore throat?

If it's a severe streptococcal infection that's taken root there, that can be really nasty: long-term and untreated it can have psychological side-effects. He has to take his time in recovery. Doubly so when Hannover have been refusing to play him until he signed the contract extension. They can't use the "but we really need you" excuse any more.

Played full 90 for the reserve team today. According to the match report, he did okay. Nothing fancy though.

There is also a stream of the game on sporttotal.tv.

He must of gotten it during the U23 game. What is it w/ our young prospects and injuries? It is frustrating. That being said... they were not playing him anyways.

You are spot on.... it boggles the mind. Bravo could probably give an exhaustive list but just off the top of my head over the last year...

CP, Adams, Weston, Yedlin, Brooks/Altidore (always), Weah, Uly, Paxton, Morales

are some of the talented Youth/MNT players that have missed significant time due to injury.

Soto not on the team sheet as H96 ties Osnabruck 0-0. 96 stays tied for last in the Bund 2 in GS @ 10. The could use someone with shooting boots on that side.

besides not being a good team, what they actually need is a dribbler to unlock defenses. Their main dribbler Maina has been injured/unfit for awhile. Maina in they scored in 4/4 games, Maina out 4/6 games they failed to score. They don't have seem to have anyone else in the 1st team like that to strengthen their game. And Maina could easily have ditched them too in Summer as plenty of clubs were interested in him but he stayed loyal and likely due to being guaranteed playing time too. Even the coach seems very eager for him to return to fitness..

as for Soto, he's unfit and unwilling to renew his contract to 3 years, makes little sense to dev him and he could jump ship as early as Winter. What he wants is 2 years which is basically a potential dumping of H96 after only 1 season.

He was on the bench before his latest injury. I think if he is fit they will try him as they have little other choice. If he's going anyway all the care about is scrapping any point(s) they might be able too. You aren't building transfer value or developing other players if you end up dropping.

But it's a moot point until he's healthy.
