If he wants to play in the Bundesliga, he needs to do better in possession. 2 clinical finishes but otherwise pretty wasteful with the ball.
I think Dirtmund just signed an attacking younger player today who is also 18. Wondering if they still seek Soto.
Mirko Slomka was named the manager of Hannover this morning. This will be Slomka's 2nd stint in charge of the club. IIRC, he was in charge during 96's most successful spell in the Bundesliga finishing 4th one campaign, leading them to Europe twice, and had a 10 match unbeaten run in the BL. It will be interesting to see the fan's reaction and see how the USA contingent of Soto and Gloster fair under his management. One would think they would both have a shot.
Also, wasn't Cherundolo brought back on at the club? That's gotta be a boost (in some form or another for Soto).
Not surprising since they've both said Lewandowski is their favorite forward and they model their game after him. There's only three Lewandowskis! There's only ....
Do you mean after his playing days or since he went to Stuttgart to be an assistant coach? I haven't heard of him going back to Hannover after being let go by Stuttgart.
Don't know much about this kid but his "I tore my hamstring" and return to the field 5 minutes later was some world class flopping.
I may have been mistaken. I had thought he returned to Hannover in an assistant role after his firing from Stuttgart. I came across this though https://www.sportbuzzer.de/artikel/...hlaudraff-lala-cherundolo-nicht-manager-team/
Dolo is apparently is in Hannover, but he's pursuing his Professional Manager license, starting this week: https://www.liga-zwei.de/hannover-96-cherundolo-macht-den-fussball-lehrer/
When you get rocked liked he did on that challenge and you immediately get a bad hamstring cramp, I can see why he thought that.
Hard to understand through google translate, but sorta sounds like he's a candidate (in someone's eyes) for some type of position.
No way. Dude thought he was hurt. You could hear him clearly and the pain/fear was clear in his voice. He's lucky it wasn't serious. I remember a game a little while ago where Marcelo caught an arm from Dani Alves and went down screaming. You can tell by the other players' reactions when something is really wrong - in this case it also turned out to be minor and Marcelo was back playing normally in a few minutes. Now it's certainly not beyond Marcelo (or Soto) to flop, I mean Marcelo played with the master, Pepe, for years - but sometimes it just really hurts...
The older I get the more cramps I get. The ones on my legs are the worse and hamstring is right up there for the worst. The one on the front (upper thigh) is so painful I thought I was having a blood clot because nothing made it go away. If that was Soto's first major hamstring cramp right after extending and getting plowed I can see why he was scared.
Gotta say, when I saw Soto go down I expected someone like him to use a softer voice so as to not be overheard. Talk about betraying the family name...
TM is listing him for H96 II. if he does stay it wouldn't be surprising if he does get RL match practice.
"The contractual negotiations with Sebastian #Soto #Bild have failed according to information. #Hannover96 A second worse offer has therefore been made, which was immediately rejected and the negotiations were broken off. #h96 @Sebastian9Soto" https://t.co/aTas2CeiAn— USMNT Only (@usmntonly) June 2, 2019 Soto leaving Hannover?
Maybe Dortmund? Tuesday's USA-France U-20s will be big game for likely transfer target Sebastian Soto. Talks on a new contract at relegated Hannover 96 have broken off, per #Bild report. (Current deal expires at end of next season.) It says interested clubs include BVB.https://t.co/jadgTRNsXu— Paul Kennedy (@pkedit) June 3, 2019
