Just needs to stay healthy, the past couple of years, he'd play a string of games then suffer a serious injury that keeps him out an extended amount of time.
OFFICIAL: Seb Hines has left Middlesbrough to join Coventry on a loan deal.— Transfer News Central (@TransferNewsCen) September 1, 2014
Preston sealed a valuable 2-0 win at Coventry thanks to a devastating five-minute spell in the second half.... Seb Hines could have few complaints when he clearly brought down Preston striker Joe Garner inside the area with an awkward tackle to concede a 67th-minute penalty. The former Watford striker kept up his impressive run by netting his fourth goal in as many games from 12 yards out. http://www1.skysports.com/football/live/match/314431/report
Orlando City is finalizing a loan deal for English-American defender Seb Hines: http://t.co/HekxdXcJ4w pic.twitter.com/ARyiN15fC9— Paul Tenorio (@PaulTenorio) February 12, 2015 Hines is on his way to MLS. He hasn't been in Coventry's match day squad since October 25th, so clearly this is a good move for him. He's out of contract this summer, but Orlando has an option to buy him after his initial 6 month loan period.
SANFORD – Orlando City stayed undefeated in preseason play (technically) on Friday, playing to a 2-2 draw with Swedish club BK Hacken at the team’s training facility at Sylvan Lake Park. Kevin Molino put the Lions on the board early in the match, and after giving up a pair of unanswered goals new signing Seb Hines equalized late to on a corner header. Hines, who is reportedly joining Orlando City on-loan, made his debut with the team by giving up a penalty after a hard foul in the box. Hacken converted and took the lead. http://otowns11.com/2015/02/13/orlando-city-plays-2-2-draw-preseason-friendly-bk-hacken/
Very interested to see this kid play. Is there any reason why he couldn't be involved in the USMNT setup assuming he has a strong season?
1) He needs to stay healthy 2) He needs to file a one time switch He has indicated he is interested and will make the switch if asked.
The info I found was a bit gossipy, but it looks like he has a couple of kids. The move allows him to get them US citizenship right away, something he couldn't do based on how he hadn't lived in the US previously.
saw an interview online someplace with him today. Used "massive" twice in the same sentence. But otherwise seemed like a sharp young fella.
Here's a profile of Seb from the Orlando paper. http://www.orlandosentinel.com/spor...city-seb-hines-fresh-start-20150224-post.html (He's got two sons, who should be capped immediately.)
He's bloody rubbish is the reason. You've got about 10 better CBs at least, and thats just the ones I know as a non-MLS watcher
He left Orlando in 2017, but he has popped up in support of the national team -- the USWNT, that is. Chief among her supporters was former Orlando City defender Seb Hines. “He woke up every day and met me at the field, the Orlando pride facility, and we trained,” [Ali] Krieger said of Hines. “I really respect him a lot, especially as a defender himself. . . . Obviously I put the work in, but he really helped me and supported me and guided me through that, and put me through some training sessions that were key to getting me back.” https://www.prosoccerusa.com/us-soc...ucceed-as-world-cup-teammates-engaged-couple/
Not surprisingly to what @BostonRed wrote in the post above but this was just announced. "Orlando Pride has hired Seb Hines as an assistant coach to join the technical staff of Head Coach Marc Skinner, the Club announced today."
