Similar. They both play the same position. Harkes Sr. had a cannon shot, though, and was a tough sob. Ian would really be something if he turns out as good as his father.
If so, I like it. Versatile attacker. Can play on the wing and up top, I think. Presuming he's willing to play a role.
I'd be fine with that. Gives us depth in attack, and the veteran MLS presence that Olsen looks for every year (Wolff, Thorrington, Arnaud, Rolfe, etc).
I hope it's true; I would take Le Toux in a nanosecond. Even if it was only because he would stop scoring against us.
Always liked him and would take him if his price wasn't too high. The guy gives it his all, like Olsen likes.
His production has fallen off recently but I think he still would be a fine late-game sub. He has to be accounted for by defenders.
I stream everything. Considering fuboTV this season to watch DC. Can't find info on who's going to televise the games. Anyone in the know?
He still plays? I Don't really think he's that good anymore but hey. Maybe he has a Rolfe like revival.
IIRC, it's still Sinclair Broadcasting for at least this year, if not next year, also. (News Channel 8, WJLA-TV 7, etc.)
On that, I have no idea. I never watch the Hispanic channels, unless there's a game on that isn't being shown anywhere else. If you haven't already surmised, per google translate: No hablo español.
Those are nationally broadcast games as part of the MLS-Univision deal. There is a game on that channel or some other part of the Univision family every week. Last year most of the Friday games were Unimas/UDN games. Unimas is back to doing Saturday games this year.
While we're on the topic of signing veteran MLS players, I'm siding with those that think we should sign Corey Ashe. He's a local kid (with local scars...), and he would fit the need for a LB to push Kemp and spot start. He'd also be relatively cheap based on his deal with Columbus ($105k). Makes too much sense to happen, so it probably won't, but I wouldn't be disappointed to see his name on the trialist list come Monday morning.
He's always had a scoring touch. Just not as fast as he used to be to out run defenders in a foot race. But now he can be a threat with a release pass from Acosta. Let's hope he can still has something to offer.
I view the LeToux signing as the replacement for Sabo. A veteran with some goal scoring touch who can spot start, but probably is viewed as a 20 minute sub -- either to press for an equalizer or provide fresh legs up front to help protect a lead. Put another way, he's Conor Doyle with some actual soccer skill.

I believe the appropriate greeting would be "ooh, aah, Ian Harkes!" Excellent signing. Hope he turns out as great as his dad.
