Watching tonight from LA - so happy to finally have this day come. New owners have a couple of easy QOL fixes they can do (Extend Roofs to cover all seats), build temporary roofs over each end (they would need to come down for any expansion). Larger project is tearing down that shitty corner building and filling in 3-5K additional seats. When that is done it will be a really good day. My parents and brother will be there tonight (unless he sold his ticket and pocketed the money). Yes there are problems, yes there were compromises made, yes the FO was intentionally devious in the SG Fiasco. I doubt that makes it to next season. If the SGs can form a Council and force the United FO to deal with it for 2019 things could be much better. If we don't do well for the rest of the season you better believe the hubris of the FO will wear out quickly. Have fun, good luck, the FO is temporary, United is forever! james
I would imagine they wouldn't let you open them up in front of people if the game is going on. They allow collapsible umbrellas that fit in your bag that you bring in. Why this can't be the case at Audi Field? Just have your paid usher staff enforce a rule that they can't be open in the stadium during the game. Not very hard. Doesn't inconvenience anyone bringing an umbrella. Thx, Jay!
The FO has shown it doesn't want this. One SG has shown they don't want this. I wouldn't expect things to change, except maybe the elimination of the ticket opportunity that is currently extended to one group. Thx, Jay!
Perhaps that is what needs to happen. It seems like the best thing would be to lobby the new owner to force the FO to change their mindset. The league should do the same. james
Thanks, man. Hopefully the Powers That Be get the SG shit sorted out soon. In the meantime, those of us in 130 will just have to be a little extra loud.
So here are a few photos from yesterday... CaBi MLB black vehicles were everywhere Be careful at this intersection. People were not observing the stop signs in either direction.

I wasn't going to post these, but I prepared a dump from this morning earlier instead of a dump from yesterday so here are some photos from this morning. Interesting development with street parking around the venue... Maps that are different around the venue were being installed. I didn't like them. They aren't completely accurate.
If anyone has a chance to find... @sitruc Hey D.C.! @TMobile and I hid 12 magenta balls around town at 6 of my favorite locations! Find one and you’ll win a pair of tickets to the #HRDerby! Well folks, I'm outta here. I'll be leaving for Audi Field in a few minutes. I hope to see all of you there, even though I won't recognize most of you. Safe journeys all. asitis
These guys may have been responsible for installing maps Most of the trash was gone, but there was still a lot earlier.

The JDLand camera snuck across South Capitol Street in October 2013 and again today, and so I have some before-and-afters of note. #DCUnited @AudiField (1/n) pic.twitter.com/T41m2RfvI3— JDLand (@JDLand) July 14, 2018
