    Starting now. Yay!

This thread is for any stadium related news or information (construction, financing, land acquisition, regional development, etc.).

    Feels good.

The first one never gets a part I designation (screw you George Lucas). Only if it is successful does a sequel get green lit.

As excited as I am, I think breaking ground and building it will make this day more real.

Been a long time coming, hard to believe it is finally happening.

Fantastic news for my favourite American club, though I admit that it's still taking a while to settle in that it is finally happening.

I don't know if I'll ever make it down to see the new stadium once it's up and running, but I offer my best wishes to everyone in or near the area who will be able to call it their own.

Saw a tweet that said the party was interrupted by a fire alarm and everyone had to leave the building.

We just can't have nice things, even when celebrating getting nice things :)

It's going to have be named after Frederick Douglass and have room for a US Soccer Hall of Fame (if those jerks in Frisco, TX didn't already take that honor/duty).

I currently work in the old Coast Guard HQ right next to the site and will be here until the end of the first quarter of '15. I'll be keeping my eye on the joint. I'm still a bit numb though. I'll feel better with the heavy digging equipment starts to digging!
