But what if upon contact, the diseased microbes from his body quickly swim upstream and into the pee launcher?* GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G * Something similar was the premise of an episode of some horror-themed anthology series, but I can't remember exactly which one.
Happily, that's not actually possible. But I'll research it just in case. Oh, also the embalming fluids kill any microbes, and he'll be burried underground, or maybe creamated. I should be safe, but thanks for your concern! Go Quakes!! FU-AP!! - Mark
So its pretty much a done deal. The Crew are saved and stating in Columbus and Precourt just bought a house in Austin! Guess SSV's efforts worked again! Go SSV! Austin welcomes first major sports franchise Austin a "perfect match" for MLS

Massachusetts and Pennsylvania are commonwealths. The District of Columbia is not even arguably a state. But for sake of discussion, what does this data purport to signify?
I don’t understand the “big” announcement, cuz I thought Austin FC was already a done deal. But not joining the league until 2021 —- i guess that gives Precourt 2 years to sell the team! I don’t think he’s got enough personal wealth, so if he doesn’t sell, then he has to bring in more investors, just as Beckham did for Inter Miami or whatever it’s called.

Doesn't look like much of an improvement over Mapfre to me. Hell, there're probably high schools in Texas that wouldn't be impressed...
Yeah, but "indoor / outdoor space" reflecting Austin's "unique vibe". For instance, I believe I saw a "Café Verde."
Wow that stadium looks more unfinished than Avaya. It will be VERRRY interesting to see how many STH seats they sell. I bet only a few thousand.
Not such a good bet. https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2019...k-record-receive-30000-season-ticket-deposits
The MLS story is misleading. Each deposit subsumes up to eight seats, meaning there may have been fewer than 4,000 depositors for the 30,000 seats.
Come on, Don. When the Quakes say they have 10,000 season ticket holders do you think they really have 10,000 individual accounts ?
It is possible for both Austin FC and the San Jose Earthquakes to be misleading. The two things are not inconsistent.
The initial comment was "It will be VERRRY interesting to see how many STH seats they sell. I bet only a few thousand." STH seats, not individual depositors. The article states that they got deposits on 30,000 STH seats. I think its clear Austin cleared that hurdle. Now it is possible, even probable, that they won't actually sell 30,000 STH seats (the stadium is only planned for 20,500) but it's hard to deny they've found a lot of support in Austin. We can still hate them when they start playing games.
I'm familiar with your back-and-forth with MJ Lee, and I will withhold congratulations for "clear[ing]" an unspecified "hurdle" until the stadium is actually built and season tickets are actually purchased. In the meantime, I stand by my point that Austin FC is being deceptive in its presentation of the current situation.
The deposit is only $50. A lot of people might put down a deposit and then let it go when they learn they need to pay another $1000+
What is misleading about what they said. The tweet stated: "Austin’s @MLS club, announced that at 1 p.m. CDT today it has secured deposits totaling over 30,000 seats." As far as I saw they made no claim to the actual number of deposit holders, and why should they? When the Quakes say they have 10,000 season ticket holders they are really saying they have 10,000 seats held by season ticket holders. You yourself have 3 seats in your account, I have 2, others have the same, more, or less. I would guess our actual number of account holders is easily south of 5,000. It's ludicrous to think Austin FC has just 4,000 deposit holders reserving 30,000 seats, just as it is ludicrous to think they have 30,000 individual seat holders. As much as you, or we, may dislike the way Austin FC came into existence, that is pretty damn impressive.
