San Antonio public official: " . . . the District Attorney’s office . . . investigation found that the MLS process was unfair, unethical, and duplicitous . . ." (Emphasis added). https://www.ksat.com/news/san-anton...l-with-no-chance-of-legal-recourse-wolff-says
City-owned and PSV-operated. Anthony Precourt is such a douche, and if Austin funds his stadium for him, those government leaders deserve to be lined up against the wall. Plus, is that really true that Orlando has no on-site parking? I didn’t realize any mls Stadiums were like that.
It's Texas. They do corporate socialism better than any state. No one is going to line them up against the wall, if anything they'll re-elect them.
Really? That’s a surprise, I thought GOP voters do not like increasing their taxes. The thing is, there are studies now that show there is little benefit to the community for the price paid, and the only ones who profit from stadium deals are the team owners. But I suppose Texans don’t read studies.
Garber didn’t seem too enthusiastic about saving the Crew during his state of the league address last night. It’s looking more and more like Precourt is going to move the team to Austin. It may be better for winter games but not so sure about the summer months. It really sucks for the Crew fans but he was playing up FC Cincinnati and almost looked dejected when talking about Columbus.
Does he even want to go down that route? I doubt Garber will take Precourt to court and vice versa. It seems to me that the Crew are as good as gone. The way I see it playing out, Cincinatti will get a team while the Crew will be allowed to move. I envision Columbus getting awarded a USLor NISA side if the Crew leave but that is about it...
Garber also said the Crew were the only MLS club who wasn’t making much TV or ticket revenue. Not sure how true that is though or if it’s just an excuse to use in order to justify the moving of the franchise.

Just saw this tweet from the Ohio Attorney General a week ago... Here’s a copy of the letter I'm sending today to Anthony Precourt of the Columbus Crew about my review of Ohio law. #CrewSC #SaveTheCrew pic.twitter.com/7NzbkG4USX— Governor Mike DeWine (@GovMikeDeWine) December 8, 2017
THere is already a SaveTheCrew movie https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/soccer-movies.1800496/page-12#post-36170530
The #SaveTheCrew team posted this with a link to a google doc of team's office people. Sadly, I didn't think the Quakes contact addresses were very useful, but I don't have anything better. Contact MLS Owners During the recent MLS Super Draft chants of "Save The Crew" rang out from all corners of the hall. At times threatening to overwhelm the event, these chants came from supporters of many clubs. MLS team owners heard us then, and it's time for them to hear from all of us again. Please reach out to the other MLS team owners and politely ask them to help ensure that the first team in MLS stays in Columbus. They are also selling a cute hoodie now
So....they basically tried to ruin the moments for these young men who are being called up to the draft stage... So...where were all these supporters of other clubs when we were moved? Did they make a ruckus at the 2006 draft, or did they celebrate on our dead body? Yeah....I thought so. Get Fcucked Columbus LOL
Yeah - I don’t care if other fans were dancing on the grave of the original Quakes, I wouldn’t wish the sort of soul-crushing experience we had in 2005 on anybody. Well, except perhaps the Scum fans...
I was thinking that. But in a recent Grant Wahl podcast, Garber sounded like he wants 2 teams as cross-town rivals in the largest markets of NY and LA.
That's because Garber thinks it's appropriate for him and MLS HQ to manipulate the league. Dude can't see beyond the end of his tiny d#$%! Go Quakes!! F@#$ el-lay!! - Mark
