I don't think Hilal is a 1-man team, never have been. Although I won't disagree that Hawsawei left a huge gap to be filled as he was the most consistent-performing defender I've watched in recent years of Saudi football, but his absence doesn't justify current results. They weren't playing at highest level in ACL when he was in XI either.
I won't dispute that. Unfortunately, Hilal has lately been rather dependent on a select few players- their absence is heavily felt. Fridays derby against Nasr should be interesting
If you talking about Crown Prince Cup then I rarely care for it. Its only to watch because its one of dream to watch Hilal- Nasser play each other in final. Other wise CPC is a waste of time.
Results - Ittifaq 0-2 Nasser Shabab 3-2 Hilal Tawoon 1-1 Shoalah Najran 0-2 Fateh Ahli 2-1 Faysaly Raed 3-2 Hajer Wehda 2-1 Ittihad Fateh have almost sealed the league. 7 points lead over the top accept that they dont lose against weaker teams. As of Ittihad is concerned , the coach needs to be sacked. The administration have bought new players but still the team is in jingle. The coach plays new players instead of the existing one and sucks big time.
Hey now, lets not be too harsh on Hilal. They are the most successful Saudi club with 13 title wins (runner-up Ittihad is second with 8). True Hilal has for a while not been top notch when it comes to ACL; but they have in the past won the cup twice and been runners-up twice (thats a better overall record compared to Itti), and as of 2003 they are ranked as the 6th all-time Top 20 AFC Champions League Clubs. Oh yeah- proud to say we have never lost against Al-Wahda this season; actually not a single team has .......except Itti .
Theres no point bringing Ittihad in btw. I only talked how Hilal depends on some of its players. If you talk about the old champions league r record for Hilal , it was a different scenario. Now the things have changed. Anyways, to my relief, Raul Caneda has been sacked. A good coach indeed. He can be successfull if the team understands his philoshophy. Sadly ittihad started of well under him but thanks to the managment for the later downslide in the perfomance.
I didn't follow up closely the situation in Ittihad camp, but there were always rumors about "Players vs Manager" fights. I don't base my thoughts on that video, but could Caneda's refusal to handshake Noor suggest that he was among the "old guards"?
Not cool.... how low can a coach be if he disses his teams captain. Although from what I hear- Noor too has a lot of baggage and is not easiest of people to get along with.
I agree. It doesn't matter how horrible is Noor's attitude during Caneda's tenure, you shouldn't refuse to shake one of your players AND the captain of the team in your farewell. I think it's pretty much a professional reason behind the anger, not a personal one. Anyway, according to Caneda's twitter feed it was just a "misunderstanding".
One of the worst decision seen so far. Ahli sacks coach Karel Jarolim and replaces with Alexander Ilic. Surely Hilal will lure him if not Ittihad will the next.

http://uk.soccerway.com/national/saudi-arabia/pro-league/20122013/regular-season/ Well, my half-season predictions went wrong. We are only 4 rounds away from the final day of the league and Fateh are 7 points ahead! Astonishing. I'm really glad they kept the lead.
what no team from the big four* gets the league ? this is blasphemy ! ____________________ * the big four are not related to human limbs they are Saudi football clubs Alhilal Ittihad , Shabbab Alhilal B team
Results-- Raed 1-2 Ahli Shabab 2-1 Tawoon Etttifaq 0-2 Shoalh Wehda 1-2 Faysaly Najran 1-1 Nasser Hilal 4-2 Ittihad Haejer 1-2 Fateh
Ittihad team in tatters..Managment has suspend Noor, Zayed and Tukar ..Thers also a lot of conflict in the board..2 days back fans also gathered outside the team stadium to protest against the team..
Al Ittihad has changed they are moving to the right direction . in my opinion . I really don't want to see another Nasser like drama and the league is not fun without 3 or 4 strong teams . Alblowi and noor will not live forever sooner or later they will become too old for football. ittihad cannot depend on them.
Fateh wins Saudi Premier League by beating Ahli 1-0 Other Results - Ittihad 2-0 Najran Shabab 3-1 Ittifaq Raed 1-1 Wehda Faysaly 0-1 Hilal Tawoon 0-0 Hajer
Well well well. http://uk.soccerway.com/national/saudi-arabia/pro-league/20122013/regular-season/ When half of league rounds were played I doubted they would still be leaders after a couple of rounds, but here they are. Fateh's achievement is incredible, unique, and I would go as far as saying this is the best moment in the history of the Saudi League.
I dont know were they deserved winners or not but they took the open oppurtunities very well... Hilal, Shabab , Ahli and Ittihad were on all ACL which effected there league games and Fateh took well advantage of it.. Having nothing to play in international competitions and only 2-3 players selected for national team this team got enough rest in between the breaks and were on sound whenever the league resumed. They dont have super star players and a coach but the overall balanced they achieved was tremendous.. They have showed the other Saudi and gulf clubs that keeping faith in coach brings out trophies..Congrats Fateh..
