    Same old crap!!

Can't we book better teams for our friendlies?
I think we pick B rated NT's to soften the blow by avoiding a defeat by a much stronger team and eliminate having the media bombard the FA.

Uzbekistan, Gabon and Bulgaria in no way resemble the Asian heavy-weights that we would encounter in the next AFC Cup...likes of Japan and S. Korea.

The last strong friendly was probably more than four years ago against Czech Republic in 2006!!!

I think this is Muhanid Asiri's first goals for the NT, even though the first was debatable and the second an offside :D

Exactly. It seems like Pescado is over-rating Saudi Arabia. Bulgaria are at least as strong as most teams in Asia.

He is digging out all players from every team even if he is a bench player..Probably he has big things in mind..

Looking at the goals scored by Saudi NT under Pesirio, it is mostly set pieces compared to some immature goals score by NT under latin coaches. If he remains for another 1 year then surely we will have another stlye of Saudi Team playing matches with more possesion and setpiece plays which is more European style then instead of running with ball with no where to go and suddenly scoring goals like the latin style.

Or maybe it's because Shabab and Hilal have ACL matches and are exempt from NT duty.

Infact, this isn't the first time Muhanid Asiri has been called up to the NT.

i think calderon was the best coach, Saudi Arabia had in the past 10 years

But still I cant beleive how come we play two mathces in a day even if we had 34 team squad.
I hope this mathces were not FIFA sanctioned or approved

Does seem a bit absurd. The coach can't be in two places at once! And what do the players think when they are selected fro either 'A' or 'B'. Not really the best way to divde a squad with the Asian Cup coming up.

The U23's also played today against Tunisia in a 2:0 loss

Both matches were at the same stadium in Turkey.

Anybody who can tell about the line-up in the matches , was it a "A" and "B" team or was the NT split equal ?

i think both of them are Bs , but the team which played against Bulgaria has better names

so the game against Gabon C team
and the game against Bulgaria B team
but no one knows what the f**** is going on the FA mind
