    Was he still on NYCFC’s books and cap? Is this some sort of circumventing activity for the mls team? Just a weird one. Doesn’t seem an arms length transaction so I wonder if it is unfair in some way to the other teams.

    Agreed, this seems really fishy, I'm not sure I'm a fan of this transaction.
    Also it seems really odd in the ESPN article that they keep mentioning Umbro, when Man City is sponsored by Nike.

    well anyway I hope it works for Mix, as he wasn't getting playing time anyway.

    Don’t see the homegrown deals change making that much of a difference but still a positive step in the right direction.

    For a team like the Union it's big. If the escalating scale of GAM is true, in five years getting close to a million in GAM will be significant.
