Arias came in at the 70th minute and got some playing time. How he looking since he recovered from his injury?

Arias playing decently...but this match could go either way. How is it still 0-0?

 

Arias had a very solid match and did what was needed both on attack and defense. He's probably the Colombian in best form right now. I think Atletico had a better game plan but you can only give so much space to Messi, so at the end the result was just.

 

Hope he doesn't get hurt...if he keeps this up he'll be a game changer in the Copa America. A fine form against good teams in a much better league will help so much.

Ive been out of the loop from football for a couple weeks. Has he somewhat solidified himself as a starter?

 

Ish; he's been appearing in more and more games as of late so I would say that he's getting to that point as he's not always playing every single game that they're in.

 

Juan Fran is/ injured. That coupled with Arias solid play guarantees a good run of games for a while. If I read this correctly, I'd say that now Juan Fran is the one that has to win his position back from Arias, and IIRC, he was complaining about how fans did not appreciate all his years with the club and so on.

Also, there has been a string of injuries and suspensions in the back line, so Simeone might be extremely short at the back for the next few weeks.
