.. but what's happened since that first weekend? Broncos desperate for a positive result this Friday v. Stanford. Usually a hard fought game and no love lost between neighboring programs. Should be entertaining.
The Broncos haven't had a disastrous drop off since that first weekend, they're still an NCAA Tournament contender. All of the teams they've failed to beat since the opening weekend are having good seasons. The critical games for them are their non-conference games after the Stanford game and, then, their WCC games. It looks to me like they can afford at least two conference losses and maybe three. But, they need to win out in their post-Stanford non-conference games and their other WCC games.
