Re: Sanneh: FC Nürnberg vs. VfL Bochum, 8/10 (R) buff are they moving him back out wide after the role he played at the end of the year where he kinda played a *libero* role, kinda all over the pitch stopping runs and the like?
FCN's going back to four in the back..if Augenthaler goes to 3 in the back, he reverts to the center.
No mention of Sanneh in the text comm. Edited to say Kicker has two bits: Sanneh with a nice feed, but Belic shoots over from about 11. Sanneh with a cross that's headed over.
Not a good start to the season for FCN, this was one of those home games they needed to win, they're going to be missing those points all season.
Actually 'über den Ball säbeln' means that he tried to shoot, but missed the ball (from 11m in this case). I saw the excerpts of the game and have to say that Sanneh seemed to be very good in the first half. Unlike in the last season they did not attack over the Nürnberg's right wing and Sanneh tried to push the offence. He had some good passes. A little unlucky when he made a high cross from the middle line to the box, a Bochum defender cleared and made the pass leading to the 0-2. There also was the energy performance to get the ball off the line in the 39th. In the 2nd he wasn't in the center of attraction that often. The goals didn't seem to be his mistake though the whole defence looked desastrous today. Nürnberg was very well off with a 0-2 half time score, a top team would have scored at least five with the chances Bochum had. After Nürnberg scored the goal, they were close to the equaliser, but this wouldn't have been deserved today. Fitting comments of Thomas Christiansen (2 goals for Bochum): "I don't remember to ever have had a first league game in which I had as much space as today." and Bochum's coach Peter Neururer: "I am absolutely unsatisfied with the score, we must have had some more goals today". On the one hand it's the traditional bad start for Nürnberg, but on the other hand Nürnberg has the easy opponents first. As few points as in the last season won't be enough to stay in the league this time. Also, Bochum is seen as clearly belonging to the worst two teams this season, but the duel Nürnberg vs Bochum has taken place for the fourth time as their season opener and Bochum won for the fourth time today.
watched the highlights and ditto to what olaf said. Sannah was all over the field, pushing forward a lot. He had one cross that should have been headed home (maybe FCN ought to sign McBride). He didn't look to be directly responsible for any of ther goals, but the defense looked porrous to put it mildly. Hard to say how responsible he was when you only see a few seconds before the goal and not the build up. Losing to Bochum at home is bad, they may need those points at the end of the season.
We all know that 1FCN will be in the bottom half of the table and if they are lucky will avoid relegation zone with 3-4 games left in the season! There's not much more you can ask of this team, that's life being a 1FCN supporter! Pichi
a 6? you guys who saw the match or the highlights have been lying to me!! or maybe there is such a thing as anti-american bias in germany!!
Sanneh did indeed get a 6, but they gave a 6 to the whole Nurnberg defense. http://www.kicker.de/content/spielp...02/03&spieltag=1&spielpaarung=572157&turnier= This another example that shows that Kicker has no credibility. That is an emotional response to 3 goals. Not very scientific or fair.
Since when are soccer ratings scientific? But it's typical for those kicker guys, they always seem to be very critical with their "home" team.
That's a joke with Sanneh. I've been going to a couple of kicker ratings tonight and I feel like they were drunk. I'll tell them tomorrow, maybe they were rating old games on video.
