In case you don't know: SV Darmstadt is playing in the German Bundesliga next year. Biggest miracle of the season. Name: Sandro Sirigu Age: 26 Position: Rightback, Right Midfield Last season: 21 games, 1 assist Place of Birth: Germany Parents: Father German-Italian, Mother American
http://www.frizzmag.de/lilien/bei-uns-in-darmstadt-Sandro-Sirigu/ And confirmed by the player himself: "My mother is American, born in Texas."
Great find. He's 26, however, and will turn 27 in October. I'm sure he'll receive a phone call from Jurgen as soon as a member of US Soccer scouting logs on to BigSoccer.

I mean...I'm down if he's down? Edit - I've never seen him play - but I watched 3 10 second videos of skill... CAP HIM NOW!
Reminder about him (+ a goal in BL play): http://americansoccernow.com/articles/wood-williams-yedlin-amp-arjo-all-tally-in-euro-action The game was scoreless in the 90th minute when Darmstadt right back Sandro Sirigu scored with what appeared to be a mishit cross. On an interesting note, the man who scored the winner has American ties. Sirigu, 27, was born to an American mother although his agent informed American Soccer Now that he has never applied for an American passport. His agent also informed ASN that he has never been in contact with U.S. Soccer although he would explore his American passport options if asked. The goal sequence at about 3:40
And Darmstadt lose 6-0 to Dortmund. Looking like prime relegation candidates this year, though obviously results like this won't be the ones to seal their fate.
Got pantsed in today's game: Send get well soon baskets to Sirigu. pic.twitter.com/XQ6HNNk9xW— J.R. Eskilson (@JREskilson) September 17, 2016
Sirigu has started the last two games for Darmstadt. He was pretty active in a 3-1 road loss to Schalke two weeks ago including a nice assist on Darmstadt's goal, though he was less active in the 2-0 home loss to Hamburg yesterday. Hamburg Highlights Schalke Highlights (assist right at the begining)
Sirigu has kept his place at right midfield, going the distance in today's 1-0 home loss to Bayern Munich.
