You could look through the teams on the Fantasy soccer site (as I always do before I make a transfer). You could look through the transfers in this thread (as I always do before I make a transfer). My workflow is this: Develop list of potential transfers look at Sand sheet (knowing that I am far from alone in not keeping it up to date, if you look back, I started trying to update it and there were so many errors by so many people that I gave up, it's not my job to fix everyone's problems) look through current squads on Fantasy Soccer look through posts on this thread. Execute transfer. The Sand Sheet is, by far, the least reliable place to make a decision because it relies on people manually updating it. This thread is reliable because no transfer is official unless noted here. The Fantasy Premier site is reliable because it shows who's on each team as of the previous week's deadline. Finally, the penalty should actually be the points you accrued due to having Shaqiri.
Sorry but I don’t agree. Why do we have the Sand spreadsheet if people don’t update it when they make a change? Maybe you have the time but I don’t have time to sort through the thread posts to look for players that are added or dropped, the sheet makes it easy to check if a player is available or not. Here is my workflow: Check sheet to see if player is available If he is then post transfer on thread Make update to sheet Make the transfer on EPL site
I've always felt the spreadsheet was most useful for the Draft Days. Any system that relies on human input is subject to failure at that point, therefore the spreadsheets are inherently unreliable. Note that transfers are only official if they are noted HERE. Everyone knows that and follows that rule. I see on all the transfer threads for this league that people announce transfers and then say, "I'll change the spreadsheet when I'm not (on my phone, at work, watching the game, etc.)." What happens in practice is people often forget. In their mind, the transfer was done. Tidying up paperwork is often not accomplished. So, you can want the Spreadsheet to be gospel, but you are wishing for it to be something it simply cannot be. I know you want to blame me Norm, but I'm not going to take the blame for your lack of due diligence.
