Any chance that we get a bit of home field advantage for this match? Or will we just get our butts handed to us? This game is a bit too far in the future for me to worry about it now. Go Quakes!! F@#$ Seattle!! - Mark
We literally could not beat an adequate Community College team right now. Our only chance to win this game is to fire Stahre now, and let Ian Russell coach it. Stahre has lost the team's support, it was obvious. And where is the left back we so desperately need? Qiborg made the 18 and yet we are still trotting out Salinas as a left back, I can't believe I am nostalgic for Shaun Francis.
Wednesday night game and a dysfunctional team and organization. It will be announced as a sell out but actually crowd size with be about 2000 at most.
Any chumps actually planning to attend this farce of a game barring a major overhaul from this embarrassing organization?
Don, I guess it will be just you and me on the 25th and next season. You yell "Earth!" and I'll yell "Quakes!".
I am passing, I am in town and have no intention of watching Stahre coach one more game. If they fire him, I will show up, if he is still coaching I will save the gas fare and outrageous beer money outlaid at the game. If they are intent on putting a minor league outfit out there than charge minor league prices.
I mean, we paid for the season tickets so, barring a mysterious injury of my own, I'll be there. Have to admit, it'll be a little bit of fun to dust off the old boos. I'm getting them ready for every single player announced, with an extra special one ready for Stahre.
i'll be there with nephews in tow, who proudly rep the quakes in galaxy country (both wearing quakes kits the day the galaxy came to their school). the team sucks, and i'll probably complain like crazy, but it's not like i'm gonna jump ship and root for another team.
I was there for the years 1997-2000 and will be there for whatever happens the remainder of this year and next. Just like I supported the Packers all through the 70s and 80s.
I always go... It will be interesting to see what happens at this point. Part of the issue is the transfer window is open, players can be shipped out, so there is a high level of anxiety. Couple that with the sour locker room and the tension is at critical mass. We'll see who stays and who goes. My gut feeling is they'll purge the players that aren't engaged in turning this thing around. I'm hoping Kashia is a profound positive influence in the locker room and on the field. I never underestimate the power of true presence and leadership.
It takes two to transfer. I suppose a crafty, competent GM could take advantage of SJ's dysfunction and incompetence to find a bargain.
This concerns me a lot. I don't really care if other teams get stronger this year, because the Quakes are toast, but I'd be pissed if the Quakes stupidly mortgage the future by trading young players in an attempt to stop the bleeding and save the coach's job in this lost season. There are players who can be good in the future under the right coach.
I'm leery of who will be making the decisions, of course, but I think they would try to move the players they believe are the root of the trouble. My gut feeling is those are not our younger players with potential.
Why don't we name names. Who are the players we believe should be kept for opening day 2019, who should be unloaded immediately because they are a locker room cancer, and who should be jettisoned in the offseason (by perhaps the new regime) as too long in the tooth or insufficiently talented?
