Yeah - if we couldn’t beat these guys at home, we certainly didn’t deserve it, and having to come back twice is sort of embarrassing, but I’ll take it!

Playing with house money. Have a much better chance against vancouver than portland.

I'm betting we get the Wednesday game. Should get announced fairly soon.

Too many times on breakaways, players lost each other. Hope they work on that in the next few days

Excluding the Quakes, the teams that made the playoffs have an average goal differential for the season of > +13. Then there is San Jose at -21

i would be pretty livid if i was Dallas with that goal differential. If the tables were turned i know id be furious, but hey, thats the way the cookie crumbles i guess until a rational rule change. On to Canadia to create some global warming on the white caps

Didn't we beat Dallas on points? Not sure what kind of rule change you're looking for here.

Edit: oh haha oops never mind. On the other hand, I like the rule as it currently exists, and I unashamedly embrace it :D

Greater number of wins is the deciding factor, not goal differential. We finished with 13 wins, Dallas won 11.

Too bad, so sad... Quakes earned sixth place.

Sometimes it's about luck, and the Quakes have gotten good results at key times, despite, on the whole, being a mediocre to bad team. Still, had that team been led by Kinnear, they never would have led to begin with and would have chased the entire game.

I feel good about 9 out of the 11 men that we have that they can take this as a reset and go in to vancouver guns blazing.

The ones i do not..........Kofi and Tarbell. Man Tarbell was nearly the end of us today, it would have been poetic justice for benching bingham in a childish contract dispute, but if the team goes down because of said backdoor dealing,s thas infuriating and unacceptable.

Points is points. You might argue tiebreakers, but Dallas vs us is not a tiebreaker. Normally, our losses shouldn't count extra against us because we gave up and let our opponent run up the score.

Anyone else have issues with the AR1? Some of the balls he called offside, the player was right in front of us and we could clearly see defenders closer to the goal when the ball was played. In fact, Danny was looking over his shoulder to pace his run; it was not a Wondo offside. And I think there were two other times that the AR called offside when the ball had been played by Minnesota and our player intercepted it. A few promising plays were torched that way.

Quakes were undefeated against Dallas this season, and beat them in their own barn. Head-to-head is the most important tiebreaker, whether MLS recognizes it or not. Quakes 2017 are a better team than Dallas 2017. Full stop.

Yeah, but, because of MLS b/s Dallas should have had a point less due to the rule violation on the line up change so as they say in Houston F*C* Dallas!!

Was there. Great game. Full house. Can't talk right now, sore ass throat.

Hoesen, Wondo, and Urena, stand up and take a bow. You did what we paid you to do, to score these kind of goals in these kind of games. Vako, you take a bow too, for it was your playing defense and stealing the ball away from Minny with 5 minutes left that started the whole game-winning goal sequence.

Fio and Leitch, ya'll didn't do too bad yourself :)

I couldn't be at Avaya today, but I watched the tv broadcast, and got to see slow mo replays. There were a few close offside calls, but I don't recall any that were called incorrectly. Overall, this ref had a very good game (which is unusual, as we all know).

Bows all around. Muma was a beast. I was worried when Sarkodie was injured, he played so well. So proud of my Club. (And I'm hoarse, too.)

The centers often make questionable decisions -- that's a given -- but the ARs have to keep up with the 2tl defender and know the basic rules. I understand in a scrum the offside gets tricky (and is often called wrong, but whatever) but these were not scrum calls.

I thought the center was awfully quick to call fouls on dives, but that worked in our favor sometimes too.And as I said in the pbp, he didn't let them take their first half corner.
