Pre-match: San Jose Earthquakes - Colorado Rapids (Sunday, 10/21) pregame thread

Why so early with this pre-game? It's 3 weeks away and we haven't even played our next home game.

 

Maybe you haven't noticed but there is a pregame thread posted for the Seattle game the week afterward, as well. Goodsport is always several weeks ahead in starting these, while the rest of BigSoccer typically cannot be bothered to start a pregame thread even the day before the game.

 

Because the anticipation of losing to the other worst team in the league is just too exciting not to talk about right now.

 

I guess the attendance is already looking grim. They were giving away free tickets when you made donations at the Doctor without Borders booth yesterday.

Not sure if that actually encourages donations though. If you make a financial contribution, you have to watch this team play one more time!!!

 

They must have run out of upgrade tickets for the Red Bulls game. When I made my donation, and declined one of the tangible prizes, they offered to upgrade me with a pair of club seats for that game.

 

We're going to get hosed. At least a 3 to 1 spanking, maybe 4 to nil. It will be grim. Oh, and either or both of Eriksson and Godoy will earn a red card.

I hope Wondolowski gets the record this weekend. It would be a great way to cap the week off.

Maybe our guys get inspired by the new coach? Maybe they all decide to work hard and show him that they deserve to stay? If our guys don't go out and play to the best of their abilities, and pull together, we're going to get slaughtered in these last two games.
