From twitter it looks like USL for 2016, with Silver/Black primary colors with Red as an accent. Team name may or may not come today!? I'd guess not, and it will come relatively soon though. This is just to get them on the schedule makers for USL's season schedule!
Well yeah, SSE has the USL rights. They'll be forging their own team and yes it will be Silver/Black with red accent.
Why does San Antonio want a Major League Soccer team? http://www.theguardian.com/football...ccer-team?mc_cid=ff48f18e24&mc_eid=80cfca271d The city has spent big money on trying to woo MLS – but is football’s international appeal worth the cost to the taxpayer?
Well I would rather put money to a MLS squad than to a triple A baseball team which the City of San Antonio is going to attach to the bond to upgrade Toyota field. So on the ballot this fall most likely will be the upgrade to Toyota Field and a downtown AAA baseball stadium.. MLS is getting positive reviews... AAA no so much.. so should be interesting.
since you asked and without taking this turn into a political discussion...no taxpayer monies for any sports facility located anywhere...period end of story
So has there been anything like chatter/rumors on the stadium upgrade/AAA baseball stadium since April? Haven't heard much from anyone MLS to SA for a while. Any news?
And that stadium for AAA has been shot down, no support for it. I think its hard to have any news, when MLS, has yet to announce what they are looking for. I know in the STM email, they stated the goal is MLS but other than that, not sure what else they can do at this point.

Its stadium may be outside the urban core and its first-year attendance numbers underwhelming, but San Antonio FC‘s bid to secure a Major League Soccer expansion franchise comes wrapped in winning colors: the silver and black of the San Antonio Spurs. https://therivardreport.com/ownership-key-to-san-antonio-fcs-pitch-for-major-league-soccer/
