How common is it for English teams like Tottenham to loan out some youngsters to third-divison Spain? It seems pretty interesting. I wonder if it says that they regard him highly to get him playing professionally at a young age or just that he wouldn't have a spot with their U23/Academy teams... In any case, it's very nice that Shashoua looks to be playing well.

I’m late in responding but apparently Samuel has Spanish citizenship. So it obviously makes it easier for him to get over there, and maybe he speaks the language. We heard earlier in the year that Tottenham was considering sending to NE to spend a year on loan with Friedel.
