Isn’t Fito at Nantong Zhiyun (Chinese 2nd division) now?

Where is Derby Carrillo now, if he is not at IBV anymore?

Didn’t realise Chino changed clubs and Edgardo Mira is now in Guatemala. Good looking out

Derby got out of that contract and iirc went back to Tecla IIRC.

Fito had his knee cleaned up so he is out six months I believe, so he is back with Alianza. This goes back to what I said I think we should post anything Fito abroad related anymore until we see him wearing x clubs jersey.

Fito Zelaya was not featured on any of the youth National Teams in his rise as a forward. He just tore it up as soon as he started playing for Chalatenango. We're in trouble if Ronald Cerritos son is the next hope because he should be further along. Marvin Marquez maybe...

As for Lester lol. That clown is still getting by with highlight tapes of his best days from the early part of the 2010's...in a day and age where scouting players online is supposedly better. These teams just look at a players resume are straight suckers. Sounds like many teams in the ES league lol.

You are spot on none of the Salvadoran team have scouts so they rely on highlights for review

Can’t hate on Lester if he is still getting opportunities, that just means most of the current agents aren’t using every thing in their ability to get these guys chances.

El Ruso, Jaime, Isidro and Larin where the most promising out of that group and non of them flourished like we hoped. Dustin was the only one abroad and he never mentally matured which stunted his growth. Sadly the U-20 went the same direction so much talent lost due to number of things.

*bad agents also FESA holding all those player contracts screwed a lot of guys over.

*mentality some of those guys just didn’t want to make the sacrifice and leave the country (mainly due to family) we also saw that with the senior players who came back for those reason Rafa and Victor Turcios come to mind. Of course Turcios had it worse since his career ended soon after coming back with that knee injury.

*Clubs wanting more money also killed a ton of opportunities.

I had high hopes for Fabricio Alfaro who was playing abroad in Costa Rica then. Dare we call Dustin the Salvadoran Freddy Adu?

In the following U-20 cycle I had high hopes for Ruben Siguenza, Cristian Bustillo, Jose Pena, Jairo, Oliver Ayala, Baumgartner and Granitto yet none of them have seen any success abroad :(

Victor Merino and Cheyo both left Europe prematurely too :(

Cheyo oh boy he needed a filter that one you can kind of lay some of the blame on fans. Salvadoran fans do tend to give a lot of love to players and in Cheyo’s case it led to him and his love of alcohol...

BTW isn’t time for a new thread?

I followed him and Rene on social media years ago (spoke briefly too) and AFAIK his family are still in Italy and have chosen to stay there permanently. I don’t know if Rene is still playing football either.

Yeah time for a 2019 thread, but I haven’t had the chance to make a new one.

Lester Blanco was due to injury, he was picking up momentum, sadly he had back to back knee injuries and clubs started using him as impact player instead of a starter

Victor Merino got to home sick, when he moved to europe in the early 2000s their wasnt the support like their is nowdays for players, similar issue occured to Carlos Castro Borja when he moved to austria in the 90s.

Sadly Dustin is getting that way, a huge potential not living up to what we alll expected.
