Man, I still remember back when this place first discovered Corea as USA U-17 teenager. He was linked to several world class European clubs and we hyped him up like we did with Junior Flores. He’s still young (25), but suffice it to say his career thus far has not gone the way we had anticipated I’d expect his next move to be either NASL, USL, Ascenso MX or back to ES.
Ascenso MX would not be a bad place to land, it would be better than 2nd division USA or returning to ES.
La Prensa Grafica did an article on 20-year-old Salvadoran-Australian Gian Tapia, who is currently a goalkeeper for NPL team Hume City. He still intends to represent La Selecta, which is the best way to go since he'd be ranked very low for the Australia NT; we've always produced great keepers. NPL is Australia's second division, but it is the semi-pro state leagues and from the Hume games I have attended, Tapia is second-choice goalkeeper, therefore he and fellow NPL player Eduardo Castaneda both don't qualify for the Salvadorans Abroad list. Here's to hoping both eventually make the A-League or better. Portero salvadoreño Gian Tapia seguirá en el fútbol de Australia

Dennis Pineda has extended his deal with Santa Clara for one more year, is this a good move? should he have moved on? External Links: http://www.elgrafico.com/2017/11/09/denis-pineda-define-su-futuro-con-el-santa-clara-de-portugal
It's crystal clear for the last decade now that our players do not care about being great anymore. Just cash them checks and cool with living comfortable in familiar territory. Meanwhile our rival players from neighbor countries become bigger and better and make more money for manning up and performing no matterwhat. It's to the point of if these guys are ok with that why the hell should we even care anymore to track them and follow them?
While you’re right about those who only hang around the USL and NASL (maybe Ascenso MX and Guatemala too), it is unfair on other players; especially Bonilla and Pineda who are playing in Portugal (as has AA in the past), and Ceren in MLS. Prior to 2013, Fito who was playing in Russia. I don’t think we’ve had so many Salvadorans in Europe It’s pretty established that this forum does not care to follow the USL and NASL players anyway for obvious reasons.
I think it applies to Ceren especially. He used to work really hard and starting on an MLS team does require work but there have been several games for the national team were he seems to be mailing it in. I don’t see him pushing for a higher level then MLS either. He set his family up in the states and seems content with that. Not a horrible thing but it would be nice to have players with more ambition
Think Pineda played it smart. If he runs out his contract, he might not get good offers. He’s 50/50 with the PT, so he should try and move up with SC. They can make it to the 1st Div.
Ceren is a good player but he is fine where he is at, there are many important players for Panama,Costa Rica, and Honduras that play in the MLS. For him to reach a higher level would mean going a 1st division Europe team which is unlikely or jumping to Liga MX. He has been our best Homegrown Player in years and is the most stable.
Yeah Santa Clara have a real good chance of getting promoted, dude is still young so 1 more year is nothing but he needs to step up.
San Jose you have to figure is going to hit the reset button and much as was the case for Arturo Alvarez before him he could find himself on the bench or worse gone. I don’t see his situation as stable because the team isn’t great. He could try South America there are options if the goal was to push himself. The MLS is just a comfortable place to land not necessarily the best place. However the Earthquakes may well be best spot for him even given that my problem with him is how he has performed for the national team since joining the MLS. There isn’t that work rate there was before he basically has his starting spot locked in and isn’t pushing himself
Have been told that Herrera is still under contract with STL but might stay with the Cosmos next year. Burgos is a free agent but he still may resign with Reno in the coming weeks http://www.reno1868fc.com/news_article/show/862069#.WiFuspSFi9Q.twitter Justin Portillo is free agent http://www.charlestonbattery.com/news_article/show/862926?referrer_id=2605045 Hopefully he signs with a bigger team, they need to try to move to Sacramento,Cincinnati and San Antonio since they are most likely to move up to the MLS in the near future.

Narciso Orellana might be ehading to the MLS both Real Salt lake and the new Los Angeles have shown interest External links: https://www.elgrafico.com/futbol/Na...za-tiene-ofertas-en-la-MLS-20171217-0027.html
Feels like it's been a while since we have seen news on a youngster going abroad. https://www.elgrafico.com/futbol/Ri...-un-salvadoreno-de-17-anos-20171218-0018.html Also currently we have another young (20 years old) player trying to find a spot in Spain. https://www.elgrafico.com/futbol/Da...enas-sensaciones-en-Espana-20171217-0012.html Key thing is both these guys played with the Santa Tecla reserve side so here's hoping this works out. Also the usual Zelaya abroad rumors are up and running again.
Looks like Flores is headed to Xelaju. #LMF | Ayer se despidió del equipo emplumado y hoy, ya se habla que se irá a jugar al extranjero. Detalles: https://t.co/AgnpUDSUrB— EL GRÁFICO (@elgraficionado) December 21, 2017
He says that RSL is the more serious option, just hope that it goes better for him if he goes to RSL because i can see them loaning him to the Monarchs and just forgetting about him. LAFC is a pipe dream because that team is loading up and they would just see him as a waste of an international roster spot.
Unless LAFC see him as a serious option? Not many cheap young DM that would come over. I say cheap, because even if they have the money, they already got 2 DPs. Not gonna have a DP DM, and then spend loads of money on one? not likely. They are stacking up, but theyre also getting young cheap players. Talking about Gaber and Rodrigo. The other players seem to be coming from around the MLS. I say Orellana has a chance of playing if he goes there.

Yeah I was looking at this list of players and thinking 'well, what on earth am I supposed to look for?'. Anyway, so only one Salvie. What is the MLS Combine? Is Alex Roldan related to Cristian Roldan?
Very exciting news; especially the kid signing to River Plate. Best of the luck to the one trying out in Spain. Also pleasing to know Santa Tecla clearly invests in their youth.
