The plan is opposed by Hugo Moyano (Independiente) and most teams that would otherwise get excluded from the league. Remember that AFA is owned directly by all professional clubs. It's sort of like the English Premier League leaving the English Football League in 1992, except that AFA is a FIFA member.

The 30 teams will play each other once, plus a 30rd derby round. Each season, 4 teams will be relegated and 2 will be promoted. The 2.5 billion pesos will be split: 78% for Súper Liga teams, 2.5% for Súper Liga organization, 12% for Nacional B teams, and 7.5% for the other teams.
The clubs will continue to lose money. Instead of 38 matches, we get 30. Instead of 19 home games, we get 15. Only the AFA could come up with this. How are they going to do it next season with 28 teams? 28 matches only? Or will they do a 56 game season? Its a complete mess.
