Perhaps Google isn't super-trustworthy either, eh? Dude, are you serious? Like Comcast, or Time Warner? Yay? Also, AT&T owned (still owns) Yahoo, and they're a big ISP.
I'm not discussing quality, security or convenience, only that I didn't expect yahoo to still be so utilized.
Imagine if the Democrats had won after such tricks were played for them. We'd have Civil War in the U.S. right now. On that one, I'm thinking the Republicans might be correct. I'm not really in the mood to cooperate with the incoming administration, or support politicians who do. My Congresswoman and Senator have already heard from me -- whatever Donald Trump wants, they are to vote the opposite. Always, no exceptions.
Easy for Congress people from Illinois, not so easy for those Democrats from Mississippi/Ohio/ect. The Democratic party is not well know to have a whip to keep members on line, you have to give credit to the Republicans, they seem to be better at this than we are.
Back when yahoo was popular a lot of people's original yahoo account got integrated with their bank, school, work etc. and they stuck with it rather than change everything.
Remember when everyone here hated Graham so much, he is not a fan of Trump for sure, but he is still a Republican. Sen. Lindsey Graham: Russians hacked into my campaign account https://t.co/UYpqI3esEb https://t.co/lOdrMVb6Gc— CNN (@CNN) December 14, 2016
???? Back in 2003, I guess, but except for his extreeeeeeme hawkishness, he's got a pretty good rep around here.
Of course he would, he's a complete authoritarian, and held the same position as Hillary Clinton on flag burning.
It is known that the Russian's hacked Republicans/RNC but did not release any info. The question is why?
The answer was obvious and should have been clear to the conservatives and alt-republicans who were sucking down the flow of propaganda. They should have asked themselves, "why is only information from the democrat machinery being leaked but nothing from our side? We don't trust politicians in general so why are we falling into line like good little soldiers so easily? What else is going on here?" They cared more about winning than the fact that some shadowy twitter account was leaking correspondence from a major political in order to embarrass it in the eyes of undecided voters and to gaslight the American electorate in general. This is geopolitical chess.
I've never seen anyone with such a keen instinct for the capillaries. We know they wanted Trump to win. I wonder if they also intend to blackmail Republicans. My first gut reaction is that Putin is misreading American politics, that almost none of the targets would agree to advance Russian interests to avoid revelations. My second gut reaction was to laugh at the naivete of my first gut reaction.
It was God who hacked ou election! Do you think the Russians interfered with the outcome of the U.S. election or was it God?— Franklin Graham (@Franklin_Graham) December 14, 2016
https://www.yahoo.com/news/russian-...-doping-conspiracy-report-234123038--oly.html The way Russia operates may make it impossible to prove it was state sponsored. The article above talks about the Russian doping scandal. They say it is an institutional problem despite their national program being state operated. Unless the CIA has proof of KGB or Kremin emails/recordings/memos asking for the hack, they can't explicitly prove anything directly beyond the hack involved Russians.
Trump is going to get his briefing today on the evidence that Russia is behind it. He wants to pare back the CIA because he thinks it's too politicized. Hawks like Lindsey Graham and John McCain are very concerned about this, but most Republicans in Congress seem pretty blasé. Maybe that will change when the unclassified information hits the media today.
Trump's response is unsurprising given his metastasized narcissism. He isn't going to do shit because that will undermine his win. I predict he will do the opposite of nothing; he will actively work not only to undermine he intel agencies' attempts to thwart Russia. He will even use the bully pulpit to normalize Putin. I have zero hope the House will do anything better than turn a blind eye. I can only hope that they don't cheerlead. The Senate may act in a non-insane manner.
