I didn't know he was on twitter. It doesn't look like it has been long. He has been hard right and pushed bullshit for years. It's genuinely the reason I can't even watch Wheel of Fortune. Although he is a Kings' fan, him and his son have been Caps season ticket holders for years so I at least respect him for supporting the local team.

Sheeeeeeeeeit... You've got Russian politicians bragging about getting Trump elected, and many on the left will deny it.

Good thread, very speculative, yet informing:

Does anybody outside of Cult 45 members not think that Donald Trump would accept any and all assistance to win an election? The idea that Donald Trump would turn down a gift because of moral qualms is ... absurd.

So yeah, of course he signaled to Putin, "Go right ahead, subvert the intent of the U.S. Constitution, and help me." It would be bizarre if Trump had done anything else.

We all know this, including many who don't like Trump but who don't necessarily plan to vote for his Democratic opponent. Which continues to strike me as odd, because one would think that getting a President who doesn't flout the Constitution by accepting aid from a foreign power (a nasty, dictatorial power, no less) would be about as important as a political issue can be. But not so, to many.

    1. Their fee-fees are more important.
    2. They'll find a way to claim that #bothsidesdoit

The second argument tends to be that we interfere in other country's elections, so why complain when they do it to us? Which I confess carries some weight. On the other hand, the Constitution doesn't talk about what we do to others. But it does talk about what others do to us. So there's that.

Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy definitely benefited from Russian intrusion in 2018.
