I ended up going to a local drug store that takes passport photos and asking them to take my picture with their background using my iPhone. They took the shots and then I completed the application right on my phone and got an email back saying it was received and being processed. Only odd thing is they do not let you put your house number in front of your street so it comes out as "Abcde St, 123" vice "123 Abcde St.".
I agree it is strange that they don't let you do both number before or after the street name (the postal addressing convention for many European countries) but I doubt it will make a difference to whether or not it arrives provided they use Roman alphabet rather than Russian Cryllic for the rest of it (which they no doubt will). Luckily I had a recent passport photograph already on my computer when I applied but I had read of someone on here or another forum having to try twenty different photos before he/she was accepted.
If you do use the exact same photo on your passport, make sure that it is less than six months old. I once tried to use my passport photo on a Russian Visa and was rejected because they saw that my passport was issued more than six months ago, so my photo was obviously older than six months.
Good to know. I used a passport photo from another nationality passport than the one I used for world cup, fan ID and the logical choice for entering Russia but decided against using the one in that passport for that exact reason. Interesting!
Hi guys In the new sales phase starting on the 16th nov, can we use a credit card different from the one used in first phase ? And can this card's hoder name be different from the main applicant name ? Thx
Ticket related (although travel related too. I was wondering when everyone was planning to travel to Russia. I noticed that FIFA will only be sending tickets by mail (DHL likely) for this first phase and that they won’t be available for pickup in Russia. I do t want to leave too early because the tickets may arrive after I leave. I was thinking of making my long journey there from Hawaii (by way of a few Eastern European gems) on June 6th. Who thinks this rubs a real risk of not receiving match tickets in time before I depart?
hello i didnt get any of tst tickets for Egypt i have high hopes for the FCFS phase. but i iread on a trip advisor forum that There are no TSTs availiable in the second Phase ( post draw) only the PMA supporters tickets and conditional supporters tickets. is that true ? what is a PMA supporters tickets ? can anyone apply for it ?
I'd say it would only take some very strange occurrence for your tickets not to get to you by then (the courier van is in a big car crash and your tickets are burned in a fire). Tickets which were allocated by FIFA during the Random Selection Draw and First Come First Served Sales Periods of Sales Phases (1) and (2) will be delivered by courier to the Ticket Applicant's address starting from April-May 2018 I'm planning on doing the same sort of thing. A week in Lithuania before the group stage and a week in Estonia before my St. Petersburg semi-final if I don't get any tickets to Moscow R16 or Novgorod QF.
We are in a group of 12 friends and we tried Brazil TST7 (accepting lower cat and fewer games) in 12 accounts, but no one got nothing! A friend is in another group and they tried 8 accounts. Nothing there also.
I’m expecting the applications to change to unsuccessful once and for all today, since they are closing the portal on Monday for the fcfs phase
hi guys, we used with my friends 3 accounts, 2 of us chose TST7 Cat.1 Saudi Arabia (2 persons each, to maximize the success rate), and one has chosen TST7 Cat.2 Portugal (2persons). We got finally 1 TST7 Cat 1 Saudi Arabia for 2 persons. the other 2 requests are still showing pending, so we expect a negative reply soon or later. when i read other comments, we must feel lucky.
Well, I'm almost sure that somebody already asked this, but I'm not finding the answer and I couldn't do it, so: Can I change the guest name of my tickets?
I think the south american results is not ready yet, because I didn't see someone , at the south america have a positive result.
There have been many people from South America with tickets . It is just in very high demand because football is life over there and all teams play a high quality brand of football.
I know someone that bought TST7 for Brazil (Category 1) and just one ticket. However, I dont know anyone that bought the Category 3. I am in a Whatsap group with 200 people that asked TST-7... And nobody there know someone that bought it, just one guy in the group that I mentioned that bought just ONE TST7 Category 1. We also have one more that got the TST6 and other with TST5. Nothing more. I dont know the criteria that Fifa uses, but I'm totally sure that we did not have any Brazil TST to category 3.
Before they send out all the printed tickets there will be a time when you can change the name on the tickets or resell them on the resale platform. http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/organisation/ticketing/ticket-transfer-resale.html
