I am planning on doing this. Do you have any suggestions how to prepare for it. Which exact route? Which cabin? Where to buy ticket for it?
We expect the tickets for the FREE TRAINS to become available around 1 of December 2017. The website where you will be able to book them is: http://transport2018.com If you have any further queries, you can contact them directly at support@transport2018.com
People on a Mexican forum are reporting they seré chárter by FIFA today, se asked for screenshot no response yet. Anyone have any update on tour side?
Keep in mind that the number of free trains will be limited, and plan B is required if you fail to get those free tickets. And not all destinations will be available as well. We have to wait for December for the official information.
Someone on TripAdvisor posted a picture of an email in Russian that said that the earliest FIFA would take funds is October 26 (h/t @Gustavo Fonseca). Since the email was in Russian, who knows if that only applies to Cat. 4 tickets. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTop...560-2018_FIFA_World_Cup_Russia-World_Cup.html
I am not sure how much credence there is with that. Only one person has had this and why would they tell Russians and not anyone else that?
Tend to agree @Ric_Braz but i guess it all adds to the drama, anxiety and the waiting to get tickets. I’m not expecting much luck this first phase as I’m after mostly high end knockouts and of course the one we all want M64
So going back to 2010 the First Sales phase which was Random Draw was from Feb 20 to March 31 2009. The draw took place on April 15th and I got my notification of successful application on April 25th. The second phase, first come first served, started on May 4th. http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/news/y...hases-when-can-apply-for-tickets-1021014.html Going by that I'd imagine the draw to be around 26th and you should get informed by Nov 5th. I am not sure why they haven't advertised the draw date this time.
For SA for me it took 23 days and for Brazil 20 days. Hopefully they are pretty adept at this now and it can be less than 20 days but anyway as we have all said likely around a week tomorrow.
Anyone has any idea how the new Fan ID concept will work? Would this pose a problem for ticket exchange within the community since there is photo ID as well.
You need at least one valid personal ticket to get FanID in the first place. Note that this will let you to cross the border without a visa. As I understood, during CC2017 Stadium Control didn't check if FanID and Ticket had the same name. So ticket exchange should not be a problem.
I would expect that they would have the technical ability to check name on Fan-ID vs. name on Ticket. However I don’t expect them to enforce it (as it was done in the Confed Cup). In previous WCs they also had the ability to check your ID vs name on ticket at the gate, however it wasn’t enforced...
Guys.. First get the tickets then worry about Fan ID. Also people who worry are usually the ones looking to sell tickets or have had 10 different applications with different family members and or friends name etc and are afraid that that can't be changed.
Hmm... that's brings one more point... Most South American fans can travel to Russia without FanID or Visa. Not sure if it makes any difference for them with that ticket quest.
