Forgive my naive question, will we find out our exact seat location prior to delivery of the tickets on the "my requests" page or just when we physical receive them?
Definitely when you receive them and they will vary dramatically. FIFA have a lot of imagination as to what constitutes Cat 1 when it comes to a high demand game.
Why is there so much demand for Argentina-Iceland? I understand its in Moscow, everyone wants to see Messi, and a lot of Argentinians and Icelanders will probably make the trip. But I don't see why there is more demand for that game than say, Brazil vs Serbia or Germany vs. Mexico in Moscow. It seems like that match is this WC's Spain vs Chile from 2014 (except that game had far more appeal than Argentina vs Iceland).
I think you have answered your own question. There will be stacks of Argentinians and Icelanders but more so loads of football fans who are starting their trip in Moscow. It is also a Saturday if that made any difference to the locals. The only game to match Spain Chile was Uruguay England last time and they were not great teams.
Hey Maradona, don't be jealous of Messi lol... Jokes aside, you answered your own questions. Add to the fact the match will be played in Moscow's smaller stadium.
There is also huge demand for the other 2 games but since they were not "sold out" this last phase no one is talking about them as much. I'm going to see the mexico-germany game forsure and since the other game is the day before, why not? I woudlnt go if it was in any other city. I'm assuming this is the case for a lot of other people.
In Moscow, DK-Fra (26/6), Serb-Bra(27/6). Will the city be full of fans from all countries those days?
Also small stadium. Limited supply created what looks like great femand. I mean ... if 40k more people had tix they wouldn't be looking for them...
In Moscow there will be fans from everywhere, all the time. Well, maybe not fans from Chile, Italy or Netherlands (...oopsie!)
Well the GER-MEX game is in a 80,000+ seat stadium and the ARG-ICE in a 42,000. I am sure if GER-MEX was in the other stadium it would have been "sold out" as well. I am sure it's got the same - if not greater demand.
Argentina - Iceland , Mexico - Germany will be the biggest weekend in the world cup. It's Moscow! It's the beginning of the cup. Mexicans and Argentines are some of the most passionate and loyal supporters. Throw in Messi, Germans and Iceland's first trip to the cup... it'll be an epic weekend for sure! oh, and the inauguration match will be a total DUD.
USA will always have people there. Cause its the US. I'll be rooting for Germany against Mex. Iceland over Argentina! And i'll be there with the family.
I know, I was mostly referring to the team not being there. Lord knows that there are far more Mexican national team supporters than USMNT supporters here!
OMG, have you seen any Iceland games during Euro 2016? It was insane, these guys are the bomb, and their supporters are amazing too. Plus Messi. Germany - Mexico should be interesting, but I fear it might end up being a one-sided spanking.
C'mon, you will root for the underdog in one game, but the favorite on the other? Imagine how epic it would be if Mexico beats the defending champs (and favorites to win it all)!
that might mean Argentina won't meet them (and get f*cked by) in the semis they'll f*c k us in the final instead...
