Im sorry but I watch football especially because there aren't obnoxious stoppages every 12 seconds of action, and I dont have to be subjected to inane blaring ads for things I'll gladly live without.

Football broadcasters are massively jealous of US sport and its limitless stoppages for advertisement. Football is a global game but because USA broadcasters can eke out ever more money from both subscribers and advertisers, it has many of the most lucrative and rich sports teams in the world. Don't kid yourself that they don't want to emulate this and get a piece of the pie.

Stoppages will morph into commercial breaks, there's no doubt about it. And once they get that, watching football will be no different than watching NFL or NBA. At that point I don't think I'll ever watch another game. I can barely stomach watching a game of USA football or basketball as-is.
