Nolly had no support on that Gomez goal. He did his part and was left to dry

I'm trying. I got the RSL jersey on + the Newcastle Brown Ale is flowing. Doesn't seem to have helped.

Come on, time for a Boswel OG as Knowmoose point out.

    And Tarley needs a brace!

Overall, yes. I liked to see a few more balls knocked up to try to set him loose. I'm not talkin' long ball but a few to try to stretch the defense.

It would be nice to see a game with fewer than 10 RSL saves.

He was a pretty good coach, too. Didn't like his replacement that much...

I'd complain, but I don't live on the Gulf Coast. I'll take this any day over Katrina.

He'll get another shot in MLS, I'm sure.

Sorry about the tough loss tonight, guys.

    Now that's comedy.

Didn't get a chance to watch the game until about 6 minutes left, so I can't make too many comments, but I will say this. RSL has a load of talent on the field, and it is a shame that the team hasn't gelled yet. I actually predicted (incorrectly) at the beginning of the season that a playoff spot was yours for the taking. Well, I guess you can chalk it up to first season blues, or something. I would not count RSL out next season. I expect much better results once the team "finds itself".

    Tough luck tonight.

Tarley and Nolly both played well.

Nolly, quite frankly, was shelled out there. He had 11 saves. That means 16 shots on goal. That's far more than he should have to deal with. He did well considering

Tarley also looked good out there. Not quite on the same page as his teammates, but he got a good goal from huslte and good play from Andy Williams, and I also can remember 3 instances where he could have had an assist added to his MLS tallysheet. He was a good pick-up.

Scarlett did not look so good out there. His first touch seemed off, and there were a few occasions he went 1v1 when he should have passed it to a player making a run.

Tarley though... once he meshes with Kreis and Mathis better, he should be a godsend

Thanks for the kind words... but man it's disappointing to watch guys walking around. What happened to the defense? (rhetorical question)

Not that it would have changed the result but the Kreis header off the post and then Pope missing from 2 yards out... crap - we couldn't buy any luck tonight.

I'd have to say that the 'classy opposing team fan' award goes to DCU - AT LEAST you're being gracious in victory on our boards... Half the other team's a$$holes think their being "impartial" when they come on the RSL board to rub it in our faces.

    Cheers! Here's to Cup #5!

    We showed no fight tonight.
