I'm looking forward to 31 seconds of soccer today, followed by the mandatory hydration break at the 30 minute mark.
Hmm. I think I suddenly feel a little *cough* sick... Too much fresh mountain air over the weekend. Better stay home and watch the game!
We are fortunate not to be down, having been outplayed in both halves of the first half. I really hope Wingert sticks around - as coach at the Academy, for example, rather than on the field.
Good half of soccer from the team, recovering nicely from a lousy first half. The clearance on Silva's goal was abysmal, and I appreciated it a lot. Undefeated in six. Never would have guessed we could pull off a series like that as little as a month or so ago.
You're kidding, right? Please be joking... Sure, it's a road win, but against the sorriest bunch in the league. We've had 2.00 PPG over the last six matches for the first time this year, and making the playoffs will require that pace through the end of the season.
I thought so. I certainly hoped so. But I've seen delusional fans react that way to just this sort of situation before!
We're lucky Opare didn't score twice. He got free on Silva and snapped it down parallel with the goal line - and nobody smashed it in - and also, another time was unmarked with Wingert kind of zone-marking two people and crushed a header into the bar. So far this year, RSL is undefeated when I drink an entire bottle of wine. Science.
