How will this one go? DC has shipped off a few players, will that leave it open for hungry youngsters? I think I will deviate from my prediction and go with a draw.
I expect a lot of RSL fans/writers to see this one as a winnable game. I expect the players to have an opponent that doesn't bunker against them as much as they've seen the last two games. I expect we see goals on each side. I expect we lose because that's what this team does. DC 3 - RSL 2
Just wanted to drop this here: DCU most recently tied Toronto at home 1-1 after scoring a pretty good goal off a corner (their 1st this year) in the first 10 minutes.
DCU is scoring fewer than 1 goals per game. Is it too much to hope for a clean sheet? As opposed to hoping that RSL scores. That is clearly too much to hope for. 0-0 is therefore the most optimism I can muster.
I'll be at my parents celebrating my brothers birthday for this one. Would be nice to see a win, but at the very least I'll be having a good time with family with the game on in the background.
Hey, thats ironic, it's my boy's 2nd birthday party on Saturday too. His birthday is this Friday. I'm guessing I'll be too busy with that to care about us finding a way to not get 3 points here
It'll probably be easier to watch the 3 min highlight reel after when you can see the 2 good things we do all game.
I'd expect a team like DCU to bunker at home as they have seen we can't break it and their defense sucks. So yea... 0-0.
If we can't get a win here against a bottom dweller team, we don't deserve another win this season. To that end, I'm going to optimistically predict that our spectacular movement of Maund during the trade window will have an immediate impact on team performance, resulting in a 3-2 win.
It's MLS, bottom dwellers (DCU) just took a point of the arguable best team (TFC). A point is a bold prediction, IMO. I think we win again this year, just not here
related in the not related sense: I hate FuKC but after their win last night in the USOC (which means they host the final) their fans sang with the players. I can't find it online (twitter is blocked, where I saw it) but it is worth you looking for. If I remember right, the USOC handle posted it
Atlanta is playing that role for DC this year; two losses in two matches against a team with only five wins. Game three later this month.
Ha, My boys 2nd birthday is this Saturday. I'll be busy with family as well and will probably miss this gam.e
RSL will win late 1-0 when Yura heads a ball way wide of goal, but it gets deflected past the keeper. On a related note, the weekly radio show for RSL has a name change and will now be called OffFrame
