This one feels like another possible mercy rule match. Unless they play the kids then maybe they might come out with a little fight. I will be beyond curious to see how this one unfolds. Kinda like "is that a car on fire on
We've lost three in a row. During these last three games we've: Given up 11 goals Scored 3 goals Received four red cards Have looked really bad for long stretches Had some promising moments Played 19 different players I'm not sure what the hell is going to happen in Seattle, but I'd bet A LOT of money on losing. How bad? Who knows. This seems to be the setup where we punch above expectations. Granted, expectations are we'll set a record for most goals given up in a game. If it were up to me, I'd say ******** it and really go with something different this game. Last week's horrendous display deserves benching from multiple players. I don't care if we were a man down, the defensive side of the ball was attrocious. The XI I would explore: Johnson Bofo Savarino Baird Luiz Besler Ruiz Onuoha Holt* Toia Putna Bench: Rimando, Herrera, Lennon, Silva, Rusnak, KB, Schmitt Bench the outside backs and at least Silva for god awful performances. If Holt cant go then I guess we're left playing Silva. Or put Besler back there. ******** it, I'm down for anything Bench lazy ass Rimando and KB. I don't think KB's done anything wrong, but why is he starting EVERY. ********ING. GAME. Bench Rusnak for being a ghost
Looks like Glad is going to play with the Monarchs this weekend in a rehab start. Apparently Kreilach might also. Maybe Plata. Basically, I may skip this one and watch the Monarchs instead.
Our record on the road is bad. Our record on turf is worse. Our losing streak is growing long. Embrace the Horror.
we somehow have a 3 game winning streak against Seattle. I have no idea how, but we do. I don't expect the winning to continue. I'd be shocked with a draw. I'm just hoping we dont give up a goal inside the first minute
I can see that. I'd put money on Luiz getting in the book again, too. Here is something interesting - there are three players on this team currently sitting on three yellow cards already. Can you name them without looking it up?
In recent years Seattle has started slow and then picked up a lot of steam late in the season. This year they are off to a pretty good start. I think our 3 game win streak against them ends this weekend.
What, just one? I say RSL should go big, then go home. Anything less than three reds and at least one member of the coaching staff ejected seems like they're not really trying.
Side note of positivity - since RSL moved into the training facility and practice more on turf, they have actually played OK on turf away games. It use to be a total $hit-show. Now it is just RSL-away-game-level bad.
Welcome to the Sam Johnson era. Rimando Lennon Silva Onuoha Herrera Luiz Beckerman Savarino Rusnak Baird Johnson
Is Luiz Beckerman KB's brother? I hope to be pleasantly surprised, but I have a feeling I'll have shut this off by halftime again.
Where is the old pseudo-brother, KB apologist? Haven't seen him in a season and a half or so. We should have been behind by the second minute.
Better since then. Seattle is streaming forward, so if we can stay compact on defense we could hit them on a counter. Let's see how fast Johnson is.
Good goal from Lodeiro. Deserved lead for Seattle. Lodeiro was Silva's man, but he drifted back and left him guarding space. Great cross, too.
Was complaining about Savarino’s awful no-power shots from outside the box. Went on about how he needs to pass the ball. So on his next possession he passed to Kyle who was about 35 yards out. And of course Kyle takes a no-power shot. The guys are driving me nuts.
