Two links for you, one good, one bad: First, a history of the RMC: https://www.burgundywave.com/2018/8...y-mountain-cup-colorado-rapids-real-salt-lake Second, who would buy this? https://www.mlsstore.com/mens-color...er-t-shirt/p-14025819565728+z-9334-2069540243
The shirt would be a nice giveaway to the fans.... After they can't unload them for a few years. You heard it here first.
When I made my predictions* that RSL would get their asses handed to them by 4+ goals at least once more this year I thought it was going to be the LAFC or Houston away games. That didn't happen. So ********ing help me if it happens here. I fully expect a boring draw or maybe even a loss, but the cup HAS to stay with the good guys. *One prediction was that we wouldn't win a road game and, well...
I have had this RSL team written off for weeks and then they go and pull a rabbit out of a Bofo and get 3 points last week. I said I didn't believe that they would get any points over these last 3 games and they go and do that to me in stoppage time. I have no idea what to expect on Saturday. I hope it's the fired up team that wants to make the Houston game mean something and start a push for the playoffs, but, but, but, but,... Damnit, now I have my hopes up.
Taking my two boys to the game. Their first RSL road trip. They're pretty excited. Anyone else making the journey?
RSL wins by a goal, 2-1 and retains the WMC, yet another year. Of course, this sounds like your normal, average, MLS game, but given that this is the WMC, all goals are from penalty kicks and whoever the ref is, hands out yellow and red cards like candy at Halloween. And oh yeah, Beckerman goes down in history by scoring on a penalty kick, receiving a yellow card and then a second yellow for dissent on the first yellow (which gives him a red) and then another red for punching the ref and then yet another red for punch an opposing fan (he deserved it, he was a douche, the fan not Beckerman) to celebrate what would turn out to be his last WMC game. Oh, and Colorado gets three red cards also and Pekte gets booted from the game within the first minute.
6 points would be a huge divergence from RSL's road form. I'd love to see it, but I'm not counting on it.
Are we really going out with Rusnak up top, or is that the game preview's attempt to make sense of what we're up to?
Both true. First time Kreilach has scored as a forward, yes? That's pretty early for a road goal for us.
Nice start to the game. I was planning to be there, but I opted to do Hawaii two weeks ago instead. My travel budget and productivity demanded that I stay home. .... And there's a red card to keep the rivalry interesting.
The last replay justified the red by the rules. Head butt. Even the it was more of a feint than an actual butt he clearly leaned in for head contact. Rusnak reaction didn’t hurt either.
