We play on the road, in the summer, in Texas: in the best of seasons, that has always been problematic. And we just aren't in the best of seasons. No Rimando. No Marcelo Silva. (Probably on both.) Supposedly on KMYU, but maybe we've just suddenly decided to stop broadcasting RSL games too. Enthusiasm isn't at its highest. So I am with the crowd from this old Tom Slick cartoon:
Still broadcasting, just commenting while watching tv like the rest of us. Maybe they can just show up to a watch party and bring their broadcast gear. Probably hear some things on tv that would get DLH an FCC fine.
Well, Seattle beat the living hell out f the Galaxy today, so we need a result to stay above the playoff line.
The old Fox Soccer World channel did this one season - English league I think - and it was terrible, because it was just fans drinking and yelling like they would at a match. But if there was some attempt at conversation and commentary, I would tune in.
A lot of great opportunities but nothing to show for it. A hugely lopsided stat on shots won’t help us a bit if none of them go in.
I remember that too. They would have two fans screaming at each other and I couldn't understand a word through their heavy accents.
Ugh. This is what I both love and hate about this game. One team can dominate and have all the best opportunities but one fluke play totally flips the result the other way.
Pretty amazing to me that even with the three-in-eight-days schedule and associated substitution patterns, that Danilo Acosta still can't get a game.
Besler just isn't good enough for MLS. Maybe the first couple of years of the team, but not in 2018 for more than a few minutes as an extra defender.
He reminds me of Kenny Cutler, who for his salary and skill, was a fine fourth choice defensive midfielder. But once he got 2-3 (or more) starts in a row, then we were in deep grease.
